Well firstly I'd like to thank the people who helped with regards to my travel worries...Even if in the end we chose another way, you helped to ease the worry and stress! Hopefully a few of the highs and (not so) lows will help others :goodvibes

Highs...

Getting our park tickets with my Tesco points...HUGE savings.

Buying a VIP Fast Pass from an online auction site...This literally saved us hours, the longest my partner and the boys queued was 5 minutes, it was very pricey at £135 but in my opinion worth every single penny on such a busy day (although to be fair it was no where near as busy as I'd feared)

As above...Finding that the parks weren't as bad as I thought they'd be, and the fact that EVERYONE was in such a lovely, happy mood...The atmosphere was like nothing I'd experienced in Disney before, here or Florida...Really amazing!

We used TIO shuttle (I'd seen them recommended here while looking for an answer to my travel worries), I emailed them with no real hope that they'd be able to accomodate us as we travelled the next day...However I received a reply to email with an hour (as with all other emails back and forth). We had a budget of £150 for travel, however we stretched that to £230 for a transfer from the airport to the Louvre, and a collection from there the same evening to our hotel (My Explorers), and today for transfer to the airport again. Not only did this make things sooooo smooth (we are 2 adults, 2 kids and a 14 month baby, lots of luggage and a nightmare pushchair!) the driver was FANTASTIC! On finding out that all the boys had seen of Paris was the Louvre and Disney, he took us driving around Paris showing the boys the land marks and pulling up so we could jump out with the boys and take photos! Again, worth every single penny!

Walking up to the Louvre and seeing the biggest queue of my life, standing in it only for a young random, passer buy to guide us to another entrance for people with children that we knew nothing about...Straght in, no problems!

SNOW! On Main St! I was standing buying some sneaky doughnuts while the kids were in a shop with their Dad and heard a tinkling noise which I thought was lovely, turned around just as my family came out of the shop opposite and SNOW was coming down...The look on my childrens faces was so amazing I had a very embarrassing (for them and me!) little cry!

Discovering Castle Ludvigs (sp?), HOW have I missed this place before?! The food and service were amazing!

Weather...Thankfully we were really lucky and aprt from some rain, the weather was very mild, T shirt, Cardigan and normal everyday coats were fine...snow suit and foot muff for baby and we were ready to go (was worried that we might of needed thermals...)

Generally just the fact that everyone seemed to be in a great mood and felt on such a high...Best trip yet!

Not So High...

Nothing really major,

Cinema in Disney Village, would love it if the played some films in English like the rest of Paris cinemas seem to...Didn't have much to do on the last full day and just wanted to chill, but would of been nice to catch a film.

Cafe Mickey on New Years Eve, queued with reservations but totally expected this, and my food came cold after the rest of the family had eaten, but the place was rammed and it was NYE so all is forgiven : ) Felt very sorry for those in the non-reservation queue with little kids who were waiting so so long : (

Rain! Didn't really bother us toooo much, but I took one pair of shoes only (the ones I'd travelled in), my oldest, comfiest pair because I new we'd be doing a lot of walking...Didn't realise until it started to rain that I actually have the start of a hole in one! Roll on wet feet the entire break!

Anyway, if you've made it this far thanks, hope some of this helps future NYE visitors?! Really had the best trip ever and would do it again next year (if we could afford!)

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time. What great service from your driver, how kind of him! :thumbsup2

Shame about your meal at Cafe Mickey but good that you could overlook it and not let if affect your evening.

Hi Samtom

We were also there for New Year and had a fab time. You are so right that the weather was warmer than expected (i too had packed thermals) and the atmsophere was wonderful.

Off to post my own highs and lows!
