Happy New Year! Let the planning begin! What do you have planned for Disney trips this year?
We are going to Disneyland in May for Mothers day weekend. I will be running my first half marathon at Disneyland which is so exciting. We've never been in May nor have we been on a weekend so I'm sure it will be way more crowded then we are use to.
We also are going for Halloween this year. Just love the park during Halloween. It will be our 2nd time visiting in October.

Im so excited for 2 Disneyland trips this year, much to my husbands dismay lol :rotfl:

We are going to DLR for the first time in December. Gives us plenty of time to save and plan! I sure wish we could know my husband's school/work schedule this far in advance for next year, but we can't. So that leaves me thinking it will be August before we can confidently set the exact dates. :( I suppose we could make a room reservation and then change the dates later? I'm not sure how room reservations will work with off-site hotels, depending where we pick.

Anywho...we are very excited! My DH grew up going to DLR but hasn't been in over 10 years. I grew up with WDW and never went to DLR. :) We will have an almost five year old boy and a two and a half year old boy with us. Our oldest's birthday is in Dec, so this will be a birthday trip for him. We wanted to go ON his birthday, but it falls in the Christmas-New Years week and I don't want to deal with that level of crazy. :P

We are going January 27-30. This is a Xmas present for our 12 year old. We take him out of school to avoid crowds. Just staying at Portofino Inn since we sold our Disney time share.

We are going right after school gets out. I'm thinking June 14th and stay 5 days at the DLH. This is the longest time we've been away from my happy place so I want to plan plan plan!!!

Heading to DL the first week in June, staying at HoJo. Can't wait for the 60th anniversary surprises!

We did Christmas time for the first time last year. We actually went in November for the Holidays and it was just beautiful! You guys will have a blast!

We'll be at the happiest place on earth in February! Myself, DH and our 6 year old son. February 19th-28th staying at the Tropicana! :yay:

My husband wants to take me to DLR in the summer to celebrate my successful breast cancer surgery and my official retirement after 10 years of babysitting grandchildren.
He wants us to stay at the Grand Californian, but I just cannot bring myself to make the reservations because of the cost. We have never stayed onsite.
So I don't know if we will actually go.

Have you considered visiting DLR during Dapper Days this spring or fall? There is a special discount rate for the on site hotels. The discount is 50% off regular rates.

Thanks for the info, Gisele, but we would have to go during the summer because my daughter (who is a teacher) will be off for the summer and can watch our six dogs.

Your welcome. If you live in Northern California I can babysit your dogs. I love dogs. :)

We are going on our first Disney cruise at the end of Sept! Four days down to San Diego, then we are taking the train up to Anaheim and going to DL for the first two days in October! Staying on the cheap this time, Castle Inn:thumbsup2

WDW March 16-23
DLR April 19-24
DLR Oct 18-23
DLR Dec 13-18 (DGD's first DLR trip :yay: )

WDW vets hoping to make the trek west for dd 25th b-day in early November.

Will be staying off site deciding between Desert Inn and Suites and BW Plus.

Mom is 77 so we need some place close and reasonable priced.

Only real concern is seeing WOC and Fantamic being WDW vets we understand the concept hurry up and wait for parades and shows. Dni, dd,and I should have no problem sitting on the ground but having a senior is definitely going to present some challenges with being flexible sitting / standing for any length of time.

June 23-July2. Spending a couple days in San Diego and then a week at the DLR, staying at the Desert Inn and Suites, right across the street!

The goal.... Is to leave Montana on Nov. 28th (driving)... Make it to Las Vegas on the 29th.. Spend the evening of the 29th and all day the 30th (which is DS's 16th birthday) in Las Vegas... Leave Vegas on Dec 1st and make it to Anaheim that afternoon... Enjoy the afternoon at downtown Disney.. First day in the parks on Dec. 2nd...

We will have 5 day park hoppers... And will probably space them out between Dec 2nd and Dec 9th.. Will probably have to throw a day trip in to LegoLand and Universal Studio's in that time frame as well... Leaving Anaheim to return to Montana on Dec 10th...

Making the trip will my myself, DH, DS, my niece, her fiancé, and their son (who will be 2 1/2)....

I've been to DL twice in the last 2 years... June 2013 (with only DS) and May 2014 (with only DH)... I can not wait for all 3 of us to go at the same time... Also can not wait to see the reactions on my niece and her family as it will be their very first visit!!!

We are doing DL in February for 8 days/7 nights and then three nights in Hollywood. That's it for DL this year :( We are doing a Vegas trip in April and possibly again in the fall. Not DL related but still one of my favorite vacation spots!

DL/GCH - January 28 thru February 1, leaving our 2 teen boys home & taking my older brother for his 1st California trip.

DCL/14-night Wonder/Panama Canal - May 1 thru May 15 for our oldest son's graduation. The inlaws are sailing with us, too. :)

DCL/4-night Dream/Bahamas - September 14 thru September 18 without my family. It's an annual all-gals getaway. ;)

I'm sure DH & I will do something in the fall for our anniversary. Kinda doubt it'll be anything Disney. Maybe a week driving the coast & site-seeing in California. Maybe fly down to St. Maarten. Never been to Vegas. Who knows???

We have currently planned
DL May 24-30, staying at DLH

My first trip since 1978, DH's first trip since 1970 and Melody's first trip ever.

We are debating on adding on a few days in San Diego before the DL portion
