New Year at Universal

Hello there, I just booked 5 nights at Portofino 30th Dec to 3rd Jan, anyone got any info or tips about what goes on New Years with Universal.

As a side note was it worth my while booking a club delux, seemed pricey but booked it anyway.

If you can swing it, Club Deluxe is the way to go. I've done it a few times and I can remember the first time I booked I thought, "OMG! What have I done?" But it tuned out to be money well spent.

I confess that I've never done NYE at Universal, but from what I hear it's a great scene. Book your restaurants early, too.

Are you going to the party in CityWalk? The parks don't do a whole lot besides some fireworks.

we were there 12/30-1/5 this year at RP club.

The holiday decorating was pretty low key. At IOA suess landing was festive, and there was a special grinch show.

at Universal there were the macy's balloons

and a very nice tree.

The actual celebration was never well explained, for instance we could never verify wether both parks would have fireworks (they did) so we chose to be in universal, where there were special fireworks at the end of the cinesphere show.
