There is a possibility that we will take a few days down at Miami in our next trip, I was just thinking is it best to do this the day after we arrive, mainly as we arrive on the 4th Jan which is a Monday, NYD will have been the Friday before, now my question is do you think that many people will stick around until after the following weekend? i.e travel home on the 10th / 11th? Or do you think most people will have gone by the 5th / 6th Jan?

The last two years that we have been there for new year we had noticed that people tended to stick around until the following weekend thus making our 1st week busy busy bisy in the parks, but there is nearly a week between the two so maybe they will have gone home by then.....I'm confused as to what to do, maybe TGM will know!!??:lmao:

What do you reckon?

Almost certainly it will be packed for New year weekend and then go quiet from the day you arrive. We have been there when its fallen like that and its gone really quiet.

That's what I was hoping you would say!!!!! :goodvibes

We hope to be visiting WDW from Boxing Day and over New Year. What weather can we expect? Is it shorts and t shirt weather, and will it be warm enough to visit the water parks? And does it get chilly in the evenings?

Almost certainly chilly evenings and early morning, although some days we have been in shorts/Tshirts right thru until midnight. We have also had overnight frost on the car some nights, you just won't know until you are there..
Take clothes for any temps from hats and gloves to shorts and Tshirts, hopefully you won't get really cold temps but go prepared(we didn't 1st time)
Not warm enough for swimming for me but I only swim in August when its 100+ some people do.
