I so just thought about putting that into my VMK sig, only to realize that every iteration of the word I put in would probably come up red.

Yes, that's the correct way of spelling it. As of now, VMK has it spelled wrong, putting an 'a' where an 'i' is supposed to be. Hope they fix it.
