I'm glad to see you back, too, AskMickey! My question is: is there a limit to the amount of people allowed onto the roof as part of the Flag Family?

Please let HumphreytheBear know that he/she is missed on this thread!

Twenty-three more days to go for us!

Just wanted to repeat the previous posters and let you and Humphreythebear know how much you are appreciated. We will have our LGR's on when we check into the WL, so if you see us, just give us a wink! ;)

Patty,

Thank you so much for all your insight. I really hope that we are able to schedule for flag family, I know we would really love it so much. As far as the Blizzard Beach hill goes, I have just made a note to my self to bring one of those disposable waterproof cameras with me. Do you think that would be ok or would it still get too wet??? By the way the jacuzzi sounds wonderful. I wonder if I could get away with out waking up dh and the kids LOL. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip, keep those posts coming, its so fun to read them..

The camera works fine and we used a few during our holiday last year getting some good shots just cruising in our tubes around castaway cay.
We have lots of photos taken going down the family raft ride at BB, well worth the cost of a disopable waterproof camera!

Enjoy!

HI
I wasn't worried about the camera Bear N. but about me head! You see I also used the disposable underwater cameras (FUJI worked better than Kodak quality wise).
I just didn't know where that camera would end up after going down that drop at 60+ miles perhour (note that the anticipation is thw worst part of it - the actual slide is over in a bout 3 seconds flat!)

Also I left my bathingsuit hung in the bathroom, snuck in there changed, and snuck out quietly to make sure I was alone;) One morning after 45min of me time I went and got DD to sneak out with me - cool bonding 1 on 1 time! She got to be the only one in the pool! But note that the slide doesn't open til 10am.

Askmickey - if you had anything to do with our room assignment THANK YOU! It was AWESOME! The view was incredible, I woke up in the middle of the night and opened the slider so I could hear the waterfall it was AWESOME! Our lodgekeeper even made the CUTEST towel animals!
THANK YOU AGAIN! I didn't dare ask around for you because I know you do us a HUGE favor here on DIsboards and like your privacy but I can't say thanks enough!

Patty

Rockncoaster:
In another post, askmickey stated that the Christmas tree goes up Nov. 12th and 13th.

Do all rooms have a balcony? We have a standard view room. Also is it likely if we go through a slow time of the year. e.g. the 2nd week of December will they usually upgrade you to a better view/room? Thanks for all your help. This will be our first stay at the WL:):):)

LOLOL I am ROFL here imagining what would happen to the camera. Jus tlike you said my luck I would get bonked in the head. I wasnt sure if you meant a regular camera or a underwater camera. But I see your point now, HUMMM not really wanting to come home with any camera inflicted injuries here. LOL

I have some photos from our trip -
Discovery Cove, Blizzard Beach & Flag Family available for e-mail if anyone would like to see them just e-mail me with your address so I can send them to you!
;)

Hi All....now lets see...
> As far as I know, the Wilderness Lodge does not due the Ladybug release anymore, however, you can ask at check in..
> The limit for being a part of the Flag Family is six Guests..
> All rooms at the Wilderness Lodge have a balcony, the first floor rooms have a cement patio..some balconies are open and some are closed..
> Comp upgrades are done at random, whether the resort is busy or slow, doesn't hurt to ask at check in ...

Now I have a question...What is LGR ???????

Thanks AskMickey! There will be six of us (including my parents), and I was hoping that we'd have the chance to be Flag Family all together.

LGR stands for lime green ribbon, which members of this board wear to identify themselves. I'll have mine with me on December 5th!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Can you call the resort before you get there(from home) to be put on the list for flag family, I thought I read somewhere tat you could 7 days before hand

I've always heard that you have to ask in person upon check-in. I'd be interested to know if you can in fact ask beforehand.

Just how early in the morning do they do the flag family thing? Not sure I want to ask!

Does anyone know if the WL bunk rooms have a daybed also? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! :):):)

Hi everybody!
I am going to try to pick through this thread, which is great I might add, for what I need, however with my baby it's gonna be tough...
my question... we are staying first time at WL 12/7-12/12. It's getting closer! What should I do now? I haven't made any requests, should I?
Thanks for the help
Gret

As far as room requests, you don't need to do that until 3-5 days before your trip. But if you haven't made any PS's yet, you definitely want to do that ASAP. And don't forget your lime green ribbon...a lot of us are going to be at WL at the same time.:p
