:bounce: As of 7-14 the mugs did not have any barcode stickers on them.

On the Roaring Forks specials, they have a breakfast special and a lunc +dinner special that they put out on a display board in the hallway.

I have two standard rooms booked 8/2 to 8/9. On my reservation I have requested nonsmoking, one room with bunks and that the rooms be connecting or as close as possible. Would the fourth floor lobby rooms fit this description or not? How much noise is there from the service area? I am only concerned about noise during the night. Of the standard rooms in this area which ones are the best. We will be in the parks most nights so we won't spend much time on the balcony. Thanks for your help. I plan to fax my request in 4 days before we arrive.

Ok 999ghsts - I am ready with my faxing question, since I will be doing it tomorrow.
We requested bunkbeds, non smoking, woods view. Best rooms to request?

Another question for 999ghsts or any other DIS member that can answer.

I have a standard view & would like a lobby room with bunk beds (8/2-8/7). Can you tell me what the room #'s are on the 4th floor (lobby) that meet this criteria? I would never dream of requesting a specific room, but would like to know the range of numbers so when I check in and am assigned a room, I'll know if it's the lobby bunk bed rooms.

What are the chances/odds that my room will be ready if we check in around 1pm on that Friday?

I can't wait to get to the WL (and hopefully meet the most helpful WL CM in the 'World'.)

Thanks in advance,
Colette

Firstly,Thanks 999 Ghosts for your help!:)
Now, I'm lacking a little here:confused: What is the difference between the open balcony and a dormer? Does anyone have a picture link showing the 2 different types?
Has anyone stayed in the standard rooms near the service area? Were the delivery trucks really bothersome at night?
Thanks again,
Duck

A dormer is a balcony that is closed in and you can only see out above the railing (there are no bars). You can't see out when your sitting unless you are VERY VERY VERY tall, the open balcony has the bars so you can see out between the bars.

Check out this photo: http://www.wdwig.com/wl26.jpg

The rooms with dormer balconies are on the very top kinda sticking out of the roof with the logs holding up the overhangs, the regular balconies are on the floors below. We actually stayed in one of those rooms with the dormer balconies. It was a nice view of the courtyard but we could only appreciate it standing up:)...we also had a woodsview near the bus depot. I thought it would be noisey from the buses but it wasn't bad (actually heard more noise from the lobby area). If the buses aren't bad, I'm sure the delivery trucks aren't too bad.

Thanks JW. I kept thinking a dormer had something to do w/the covering towards the top,Llke a dormer on a house. I was getting all confused. (not that it takes much to get me confused!):jester: lol!
Thanks again,
Duck

Well you were actually close because they are only located on the top:D

Hey Duck_adoo, how long is your visit at WL??

Hi JW. We'll be there either 3 or 4 nights. We're arriving 8/12/02 (we're beginning our vaca in Atlanta and driving in from there), and leaving on either 14th or 15th. If we can get that concerige deal, (for the extra the $35/night) we will add the extra night. Let me correct myself...I'll add the night while DH is busy w/the dd's who will be running intereference :jester:

Hi Everyone! This is my first post, although, I've been lurking for awhile now. My neighbor told me about this wonderful board (HI Lisa! ).

We are driving from MD to Disney, leaving Aug. 3rd. with 6 year old girl/boy twins and a 4 month old baby girl. Crazy, I'm sure. :) We check in to All-Star Music on the 4th and check into the Wilderness Lodge on the 5th and check out Sat. the 10th. I have gotten so many great bits of information from this thread and I just can't wait to get there! Thank you all for the help!

Welcome to the DIS and especially to our humble 'lil WL FAQ thread:D !! I hope that we have provided many ideas and tips to help make your upcoming trip one that will be most memorable, as well as enjoyable.....:sunny:

999ghsts ~
Keep up the good work....don't know what we would do without your tremendous help....:smooth:

kimmar...have fun and sit in the hottub for me. That was my very favorite place at WL. Will be waiting to hear your report.....Corvair

Kimmar, I will certainly post a trip report. I have on my list of things to buy, a journal, so I don't forget anything. I have been pleased to read recent reports of good transportation from WL, so I doubt that will be a problem. That was all we were worried about.

...on the transportation situation. I will feel a whole lot better knowing that we can come and go on a [fairly] timely basis....(es-pecially since we won't have our van as originally planned!)

corvair ~

Thanks - I will definitely make a point to visit the hot tub (maybe a midnite interlude with my hubby!;) ~ 999ghsts: you didn't see that!!)

I've posted this on the main resort board but decided to post here in the hopes of getting a very informed response from you. :D

My husband and I have decided to check out of All Star Movies a day earlier than planned and extend our stay with the Wilderness Lodge by one night (yippee!). When we called WDTC to make this change, we were informed that our woods view is not available for the first night (12/3), but that there are standard views available. How much of a hassle will it be for us to stay one evening in a standard room and then move into a woods view room the next day? December 4th is my birthday, and we're hoping to maximize time in my favorite park (MK) and with Eeyore ( ) that day, which is the main reason we decided to switch resorts a day earlier.

Thanks for any input you can give us. You've been full of wonderful information for this thread, and we're hoping to run into you during our visit in December. Have a good weekend!

We leave tomorrow for the VWL and planned on swimming until our room is ready. Last year it was ready at 2 at BWV, but I am not expecting it this time. I did not think about my cameras. What do you do with yours?

Thanks!:bounce:

I know this is really being specific but I know you're the expert on this.

In the past I've asked about rooms with connecting doors, so, here's one kinda related to that...

Are there any rooms that DON'T have connecting doors on the MK side (woodsview) that are in the far north wing (not lobby area) that may possibly have an MK view? They can have either 2 queens or a queen and bunk beds. If so can you give me an idea of which ones these would be, thanks!!;)
