New Weight Watchers Program?

You can do online and unlimited meetings for 39.95/month. This is the cheapest option. It's also the best of both worlds.... :goodvibes
Where is this? It's way cheaper than paying the $13 a week I pay now.

That is the monthly pass plan - that is what I do as well. You pay in advance, automatically charged to a credit card.

At our WW, there is a big sign on the wall behind the counter showing the different payment options.

I've never seen it at my WW, I'll ask next week. Thanks!

This is my second time on WW. First time was on the old points system. I have to agree that this is easier. I think I ate half the cantaloupe in Georgia the first 3 weeks! I paid in advance for the 17 week plan. About 8 weeks in and down 16.2 lbs.

Did anyone else do the WW 5k this weekend?

Hoping to lose a bunch more before fall so I don't have to stress about fitting in the Forbidden Journey seats. ;)

Could anyone give me a ballpark idea on how much joining WW will cost?

They have the "monthly pass" which includes all the etools (website use- I LOVE!), as many meeting as you want to attend and 1 weigh in a week. It's just under $40 and they have no registration fee if you do it on line.

I just hit my goal weight (again) and I'm a life time member. I've done the program several times over the last 9 years. I became a lifetime member 9 years ago. This is the best change to the problem I've ever noticed! Plus, I just ate 1 lb of strawberries and they were free!

I'm glad the OP posted the question here about the new plan. I did WW about 4 years ago with the old pln and lost about 30 lbs. I kept it off for 3 yrs and over the past year have gained back about 15-16 lbs. Have thought about going back...

I am a lifetime member, but haven't gone in a long time and am way up over my goal weight.

How does it work when you re-join as a previous lifetime member?

As a life time member you get to go to meeting for free as many times a week/month, etc and you should weigh once a month. then you pay out of pocket for that one weigh. You can get etools (which you need for the new program to figure out points unless you buy the little calculator but I love my etools) for I think $30 for three months. I did the monthly plan when I went back this last time.
The other option (which is kinda wrong but you are life time) is if you are within the healthy weight range (example between 140-170) set your new goal weight at what the highest possible weight is for your height bracket. Then you don't have to pay for being over. Does that make sense?
I hit my goal weight but have still lost about 1 lb a month over the last 4 months. I'm not trying and at each weigh in I have readjusted my weight to the current months weight as my "goal" weight.
Maybelle...the new program is great! I just at a banana and it was zero points! I feel like I eat much better and make better choices.

A good leader will keep the group engaged and elicit personal experiences and tips from members, without letting any one member dominate the meeting. Good luck finding a good leader, they're worth their weight in gold, IMO.

This is so true. One reason I stopped attending meetings is because a few talkers dominated all the meetings; it just got boring!

Maybe I'll try again with a new leader.

In my area it's $39 registration and 1st meeting, then $13 a week.

My WW has specials for people on certain insurance providers. I have Cigna and the registration fee/1st week fee was $24.
I called and spoke to a warm body and it turns out that the 39.95 per month meeting/etools plan was a better deal that what I could get through my insurance so definitely check it out.

We started doing WW at Work in February and it worked SO well! Unfortunately we didn't have enough people to continue it so we stopped after 12 weeks but I signed up at the WW near my house because I know that I need the accountability of THE scale :lmao:. I'm not crazy about the meetings, mainly because our at work group and leader was so awesome but I'm sticking with it.

I've lost about 20 lbs so far, slow and steady but it's staying off and the program is easy to follow. I think that the 49 "extra" weekly points help a lot because, as a PP mentioned, with the old plan you could blow all of your daily points and then say, "Oh well, I'll start tomorrow." Those "extra" points are there if you (I) need them.

Plus, since I've been doing this EVERYBODY in the house is losing weight! My husband is back down to his 33" jeans and even the dog is getting slimmer from all of our walks :rotfl:.

3 months online $53.85. If you go through ebates.com you get $7.00 back.
I joined just over a week ago, I really like it. I love the points system and free veggies and fruit have me eating lots more than before. I even had my pizza and two beers this weekend:rotfl: I had forgotten how filling a salad or fresh vegs are with a meal. Good luck.

I'm only on week 3 but down 5.4 pounds! I lost 25 several years ago on an older plan but points plus ROCKS. Anytime I'm still hungry - a banana or a pear and I'm good to go!
