Anyone have any information or experience using this website? I have looked it over, and it almost seems too good to be true. I can stay at BLT for 1/2 the price of reserving online. I have googled it, and cannot find much from anyone about this site. Any information anyone can give me would be much appreciated. I don't want to use it, then get taken for a ride, if you know what I mean. The only ride I want to take is in Disney. I checked the stayatwdw site, and it broke down to 10.58 per point for what I want, a lot cheaper than the 13 bucks per point at David's. Thanks

It may be cheaper, but in the long run, you may want to go with someone who has a good reputation, and has been used by both renters and owners here, on the DIS. I'm not saying this is a bad site, I'm merely saying that 'who knows??'. It's your money. I would prefer to give a bit more money to someone who has been completely checked out and vetted.

I went to the site and checked it out and it looks okay, but until it has a track record with people form the DIS boards booking I guess it's caveat emptor.
let's hope it has a different pool of DVC point owners to draw from as well.:goodvibes

I also noticed that this site is ran by Resort Savvy LLC. I can't really find anything on the web about them. This site is making me wonder more and more, and I feel uneasy about it. If anyone does run across some info about it, please post it here. Thanks

I think that is very good advice. I will follow it.

on the about page for resort Savvy it says they are affiliated with wdw points dot com which is like a rent/sell forum for owners maybe somebody has experience with that

We just used them and I was very happy with the experience.

I had it recommended to me so I asked for a quote. I liked the fact that they were based in FL and we could actually visit them if there was an issue.
They walked me through the whole process and what was expected from us and from the person who was renting the points for us.

I received prompt replies to email with answers to my questions. I also received emails through the entire process updating me to the process of our rental. I was impress with the fact that several of the emails were outside of their normal business hours.

The payment does not go directly to them, it runs through PayPal. If you have a PayPal account and transfer the funds they will give you a 2% discount. I also received a $50 gift card for booking with them.

I have logged into the Disney site to verify my confirmation number and I can see my reservation information.

This site looks pretty amazing, I am considering using them as well but it does make me nervous.

It says that DDP is available through them? And that we get some sort of GC? Is this seriously too good to be true?

We don't do the DP so I cannot speak for that, but I did get a $50 gift card for going through them. I know the gift card varies based on what you book. The lowest one I believe is $25.

I'm surprised PayPal allowed this. PayPal isn't supposed to be used for timeshare rentals.

David's Vacation Points Rentals and The DVC Rental Store both take PayPal.

saw this site too....skeptical as well since it isn't one of the "two" talked about! I found an owner on another board looking to rent points in our time frame, home resort is where we want (Davids and Paul's had no availability) but a little scared since this is our 1st time renting and everything is unknown. He doesn't have alot of referrals...actually only 1 as they usually use themselves and has only made about a dozen posts-last one being in 2011 when he rented....so I can TOTALLY understand your cautiousness!! Just wish David's and or Paul's had some now instead of waiting to 7 month window. Good luck with your decision!!!

You aren't paying for the time share with PayPal, you are sending it to the third party. It is legit.

No, you are renting a timeshare with PayPal. PayPal recently made this notification and might not allow these to go through.

I have received my payment, from David, via PayPal..with no issues at all. It's really only a transfer of monies. The renter pays David (either with credit card or Paypal), and David transfers it to me, via Paypal. I found nothing on Paypals site that says this isn't correct or permissable to do.

It's not easy to find on their site, but PayPal will not help you if you use them to pay for a rental that goes awry. See the following question in their support forum, and the answer from PayPal.

So, it's not so much that they'd stop your transaction from going through, but that you wouldn't be able to dispute the transaction with them if someone takes your money and cancels your reservation. You'd be on your own.

Just bumping this because this site looks amazing and I would love to use them, but I'd like to hear from other people who have used them!

I have a very positive experience with them, but I am also curious to hear how it has gone for others. I did like their facebook page and have seen some people posting on there as well.

I think I"m gonna book with them next time we plan a trip. I'm always afraid of the cancellation policies, but this one is better than the other DVC rental company.
