Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just saw this on WDWMagic. this looks great, cant wait. anyone know when it is scheduled to open?

"Vertical construction is now underway on a major new attraction for the Typhoon Lagoon water park, with steel supports already in place, and slide pieces on the ground ready for installation. Whilst not confirmed, it appears that the long awaited Master Blaster type ride is being built. For more information on this type of attraction, go to http://www.nbgsintl.com/masterblaster.htm."

Here are a couple of links to some videos of the new ride...

Master Blaster Overview

Actual Ride Video (really a sales pitch, but you get the idea)

We've been to Schlitterbahn many times and ridden the original Master Blaster and the latest one. They are great fun! I wish they could do some type of Fast Pass. Last year we arrived at Schilitterbahn when it opened and still waited an hours and 45 minutes to ride! I have no doubt it will be just as popular at TL.

Really???

I was at TL just 2 weeks ago and never saw a thing...... No construction site, nothing new at all from our visit last year.....

I was wondering what they were doing. I'm pretty sure it was TL, there was a huge construction effort going on last week while we were there, just to the right of the entrance. Sounds great

you can't really see the construction since it's behind the trees, but I saw an aerial photo somewhere (can't remember) and there was this big clearing on the right side, near the entrance.

I took the Typhoon Lagoon pictures on WDWMagic.com

At first, I thought it was hurricane cleanup as it was at one of the bus stops, but looking through the trees, you can see some definite steel structure, and lots of trees that were not damaged with red tape on them, indicating they will be cut down.

It is best seen to the right of the entrance near Bus Stop 5 and 6.

Lots of Earth Moving Equipment working hard when we passed by.

We have also seen some construction going on the last few times we were there, DH thought maybe they were expanding the parking lot, until we saw the big beams up. Glad to know they are adding to the park.
