Hi can anyone tell me if the new Walmart at LBV is fully open and is it Bigger / Better than the one on the 192??? :cool1:

Hi yes the new Wallmart is open we returned home two weeks ago and it had just opened it is a very nice store and really big alot nicer than the one in Kissemee but i guess it is brand new hope you have fun in there i did.

Pat

Thanks
I can guarantee we will be seriously flexing the plastic in Walmart this year.
It's always our first stop on our first full day (It's tradition):cool1:
Patsy can you tell me exactly where it is at LBV????
I don't won't to spend precious shopping time trying to find it :rotfl2:

Good news.

Agree with Tony. Directions would be very helpful indeed. Is it close to the Crossroads ?

Garry

The new Wal-Mart Supercenter is easy to find right at the junction of Highway 535 and Osceola Parkway. It is rather more Kissimmee than LBV, and it is about half a mile south of the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores on the 535 (Apopka-Vineland Rd). It can also be found at the top of Poinciana Boulevard for anyone coming up from the Cumbrian Lakes/Royal Palm Bay communities. From Disney, come out on the Parkway and exit at Poinciana, turn left, then left on to Vineland and it is right there. And it is definitely bigger than the one next to medieval Times - apparently, that one was deemed 'too small' for the buiness it was getting!

So would this new Walmart be a better, closer option for us than the recent store on the 27. We will be staying at Indian Creek, close to Splendid China.

We had been planning on going to the store on the 27 but I remember someone saying that it was smaller than the one by Medieval Times which is the only one we've visited previously, so if, as has been suggested, this new store is bigger again, then maybe it might even be worth any extra time/distance (within reason).

Anyone?

Hi Tony
We stayed at Emerald Island earlier this year and found the new WalMart on the US 27 very handy. Cagan's Crossing I think it was called.
Drive all the way to the end of the 192, go right onto the US 27 and WalMart is just on the right hand side! IMHO definitely the nearest one!! I didn't notice it was any smaller than the one at Medieval Times, but it was much more pleasant - not as busy!! :teeth:

I hate Walmart. It's a loyalty thing. I'm a K-Mart person, owing to my geographic origins. I wonder if there's one near WDW, since we won't be getting back home this summer.
But probably the Kmart in the Orlando area, assuming there's one there, won't be like the ones I know and love.

From Formosa Gardens, the Highway 27 Wal-Mart is slightly closer, although there is not a lot in it. You might also find that the new one off Osceola parkway is slightly quicker to get to once you;re on the Parkway.

And just for Beth, there are three big K-mart stores in the area: one on Turkey Lake Road just south of Universal, another on the South Orange Blssom Trail just north of Sand Lake Road, and a third down on Highway 192 in Kissimmee, just past Dyer Boulevard. Not sure how they compare with the ones you 'know and love' though! :teeth:

Thanks!!! I'll let you know how it compares, if we make it to one of them.

Thanks Simon
We are staying at the west end of the 192 this year so it will be good to use the new LBV Walmart and not have to run through the road works on the 192 near Medieval world :cool1:
by the way Simon we think your book is brilliant :cheer2:

I'm going to try and hide this post from my DW - I mean who in their right mind goes to Walmart and buys 63 packs of Orange Tic Tacs "because they're cheap!" ????????

David
