There are reasons that I like US(like that awesome front of the line thing they do for onsite guest-and their large hotel rooms) But there are things that I dislike- like the security- I was actually approached by 2 guys in the kid swap waiting area and I do think they were going to pickpocket me- either that or they were just trying to sneak on the ride- but they were acting way wierd(I would even say on drugs) we hightailed it out of there and vowed never to wait in the kid swap area on Spiderman again.

"Sylvester", I think that might be just slighty overkill

Too funny! I personally loved the it and guess what I love going to Disney! I think it is funny!

WOw..now this thread is CRACKING ME UP! After I got off here last night, I was so mad at myself for NOT ignoring The McBean Meister. :teeth: I said negative things about US. My opinion. I also said positive things about them. Were those quoted? Nah, I don't think so. I have absolutely no beef with Universal Studios. We've had a great time while visiting there and I have many pics to prove it. No bashing here, just my opinion. Wow...I FEEL as though I'm repeating myself :rolleyes2 . And again, I'll be SURE to make sure I never post on a thread unless I've made sure that its not a duplicate of another one. :confused3

I love these boards. The diversity of attitudes and personality is unrivaled anywhere. Makes my DIS life that much more exciting..... :badpc:

Now.....I'm off to find a thread where people respect the opinions of others, and let them post those opinions in a mature manner.

I'm one of those Disney freaks and I don't like the Disney commercials. Too sappy.

I visited WDW at least 5 times before I had children. I went there on my honeymoon and recommended it to everyone. I visited WDW three times since DD-9 was born. I got tickets to US while visiting WDW one trip. DH and I loved it and DD-9 is out of the princess stage and more into thrill rides and slapstick type humor. I do feel like our family has sort of "outgrown" WDW in the sense that I feel WDW is geared "mostly" to those with younger children (notice I said mostly - not all). I feel that US has attractions more suited to older kids and teens - as well as adults without children who like thrill rides. I think that on a message board full of Disney enthusiasts, a commercial like that wouldn't go over very well. Dis'ers do not make up the entire world ;) and for people who aren't Disney enthusiasts and have found that they want to vacation in Florida, but feel that their family has outgrown WDW, US is a wonderful alternative. And i found the commercials to be hilarious! It may not take diehard Disney fans away from WDW, but it may get people who are on the fence.

Yes, I enjoy disney but Universal is more my speed. I dont think that the rides at WDW are thrilling maybe for the under 10 set. We go to WDW for the little ones but we go to US for the adults. I love the Hulk and Duelling dragons. I see nothing wrong with the commercials they are funny. I might have started going to Orlando for WDW but I will keep coming back for US and IOA. I think that most people who visit Universal also visit Disney during the visit- I dont think disney is going to go bancrupt over these commercials. Disney fans will still visit Disney and yes some might discover the fun of US in the meantime.
