New UK tickets: 14 and 7 day Magic Tickets with extended usage windows and discounted genie+

There's also going to be seasonal pricing, compared to the Ultimate Tickets which were valid for the whole year at a flat rate.
Massive step backwards in my opinion - being charged higher prices and having to shell out extra for Genie+ (if you want it) compared to just having Fastpass+ included with the Ultimate Tickets before. Families with kids at school will have higher prices because of the seasonal pricing.

i'm waiting for toilet charging....
one free toilet outside the park..
all the others charged..
you can pay per pee...
or get a package pee plan....

or maybe pay per pee is the first level..
a package of 10 pees is the second level...
and then the unlimited pee plan is the top tier....

and you can add it to your magic ticket for a discounted price...

oh....they could have a clean bathroom package that would give you access to clean bathrooms...

It's the Winnie The Pooh package lol

The plentiful 'bathrooms' is a major reason I like to go to Disney.
That really would be an absolute deal-breaker for me - there are places/services in the UK I already won't use because it's 20p/pee

given that disney is now monetizing everything, it's only a matter of time..

I reckon they'll be considering standby and lightning lanes for the all the Disney transport options.
Of course they'll have to hike the car park fees as well to stop excessive desertion :)

over the phone with Disney direct
If you are still outside your final payment date did you have to pay for it (G+) when you booked it, or is it just added on to your invoice to be settled at 8 weeks out (or whenever)?

oh right, why didn't i think of that...
once they finally bring back trams to the parking lots, they can charge for them....
even though they're already charging for parking, they haven't provided trams for almost 2 years..
i'm sure they figure they can now have them as an add on...
i need to get my disney monetizing cap on...

So this is pretty good (not as good as a 21 day pass for a 3 week holiday but it will have to do)

I can benefit from the 18 day window, there are easily 4 days when we'll be doing 'other stuff' in Florida so that part is great.

The only thing is, we like to 'finish' in WDW so i'm going to need 3 more days at the end of our holiday. So what's the best way to get a 3 day ticket in advance so I can make park reservations and get the Genie+ thing?

If I understand correctly it will be £2268 for the 14 day with Genie+ and an additional $1,892 for a 3 day park hopper (without Genie+) (based on family of 4). That's £3,698 in total for 17 days park access. GULP! I'm trying to justify this by thinking "that's only £54 per day per person....for Walt Disney World" but it's such a massive hike.

This holiday is really starting to add up... any ticket saving tips out there? I'm definitely doing this next year (COVID permitting) but if I can shave off cost here and there it would be great.

Don't even get me started on the cost of our Beach Club reservation.....

EDIT: how does one go about actually getting a standalone 3 day park hopper? Obviously the US site redirects to the UK site. I have a cast member friend who I have just WhatsApped to see if he can buy them for me but was just wondering how we UK residents can buy them in advance.

can you buy the american tickets on the phone with disney?
i always either buy APs or the UK ticket, so i don't know...
also, for the AP, i only ever bought them when i was already there, not in advance.
Now i'll have to buy them in advance if we do decide to go with an AP...

one thing you could try - use a VPN and set your location as the USA...
then you'll get to the american disney site.

Third parties will happily sell one to you.

Just scratching around and from what I can tell the only difference between a 14 day Ultimate and 14 day Magic (both without G+) is the 18 day window and £40 extra for the Magic.
If that's right then the only reason to upgrade an existing Ultimate is if you want the longer window.

For the G+ add-on at £7/day ... it seems marginal. As it may not be much use for AK and Epcot, then if you are doing equal days in each park paying just for MK and HS on the days you go wouldn't be much different price-wise.
OTOH if you park-hop then it gets messy, so it would be easier just to have the whole 14 days.
So it probably comes down to is it worth £100 per person?
The extra £40 cost of the Magic more of less cancels the discounted cost of the 14 day Genie+, doesn’t it?

Have you considered buying one AP and benefiting from AP room discounts, merchandise discount etc. ?

the biggest benefit of the magic vs the ultimate is the extra 4 day window which is useful if you're going for longer than 14 days and only plan on going into the parks for 14 of them.
