Leger13 ~ Thanks for the good thoughts! I am starting the clomid this evening!:thumbsup2

I had an HSG as well and it wasn't the best thing in the world but it is doable! I hope it goes well for you. :goodvibes

WooHoo! Hope it works well for you. What's the dosage on your script? I'll be taking 100mg. I'm a little nervous of all of the side effects I have read about with Clomid. I'm not sure if there's any associated with Menopur.

Okay glad to hear yours was pretty easy too. I'm crossing my fingers mine will be like that too. Thanks so much!

Im embarrassed to say I had to look it up! OK so I'm on 2 50 mg pills every evening for 5 days, so that would be 100mg. They told me to take it in the eveing so that maybe I won't see/ feel the side effects as much and sleep it off. At least that is my hope. They didn't say anything about Menopur but I'm going to take ovidrel when they tell me to. So then time to hurry up and wait again!:tilt:

Oh that's good to know that it wasn't too bad for you. I can handle period like cramps for sure! They told me to take some form of ibuprofen before the procedure. Is that what you did? My Dr is doing mine in the same cycle as my first IUI. She said it would be fine.

I actually took 3 advil a half an hour before I left for the hospital. So that definitely helped. Much luck to you! Keep us posted on how it goes

I'm so sorry.

Aww honey! Darn witch!:furious:

I'm pullin up the comfy coutch to the fire this time cause it's cold out! Got a couple of coldies to share too. . .

Thanks everyone. Just so crabby today.
And, to top it off, I have been looking for Vitex and the other herbs all week at the vitamin stores, GNC, etc and have had no luck. I can't even find the right raspberry LEAF tea and had to settle for plain raspberry. :sad2: Thought maybe I could start building up the ol resources. But alas... even fertility gods are against me.
I know I should just order on line but if possible I always rather get it from a store.

Have an appt with the specialist on Feb 8. Don't know what to expect although they did say internal ultrasound was likely and to be prepared to be there for at least two hours??!:confused3

Hehe that's okay. I dunno why I remember my dosage. I'm going to take mine at night too to diminsh the side effects (or at least attempt). Here's hoping neither of us get the side effects that so many women talk about. My Dr also put me on Progesterone for after my IUI so here's looking fwd to THOSE side effects. I know what you mean about hurry up and waiting for sure! That has been my story for the last 5 years! :headache:

Okay they told me some sort of ibuprophen. Advil, Aleve...something. I'll for sure be doing that. Thanks so much and I will for sure be coming back more often to check on you all and give updates. I've been trying to get back in the swing of things (my brain has been so wrapped around thinking about my upcoming IUI) but I'm now realizing that talking with women like you all makes it so much easier! :goodvibes

They probably want to take a look at your uterus (make sure it's not tilted) and your fallopian tubes (make sure they are in the correct places) and see your ovaries. I had that done when I went to the Re 2 years ago. It's really not bad. Is this your first appt with your specialist?

I hope you guys who are taking clomid for the first time do not have the side effects I do. It's almost funny because I take mine at night to avoid the side effects and thought I was doing a good job until my dad told me that I had been cranky lately.....thought back through some different scenarios and realized I had been a crazy angry lady and it all started when I started taking clomid again. Hopefully this will be the last cycle I have to take it....I should know in just about a week.

Oh man that stinks. I'm so afraid I'm gonna be a mediciny psycho. I work for my Dad so he would be able to tell me too LOL. I hope this is your last cycle of taking it too! Fingers crossed! :goodvibes

Well girls I think I will be taking a break from here....

DH lost his job yesterday and we lost our insurance. So I won't be having the IUI this month and I still haven't called the RE to tell her. I am so sad and depressed I haven't stopped crying.

Baby Dust to all of you!:wizard:

I had a blockage in my tubes cleared 11 months ago. This is my first appt with the specialist. My obgyn told me not to expect warm and fuzzies because they are all about results. They have therapy and acupuncture included in there services which I guess is nice. I am a crier so naturally i'm nervous.

And the clomid made me depressed...

Ah gotcha. Well, all I can say is that my RE has been great and everyone there in the office has been great so hopefully your specialist will at least have some good bed side manor.

I am so terribly sorry....that is awful. But I can say my DH lost his job when I was already about 3 months pregnant and the stress was horrible for me.

Here's hoping he finds something new quickly with even better benefits.

Would you mind if I asked how your tubes cleared? I had an ectopic 2 months ago and was treated with Methotrexate. I went last week to get a HSG test done and sure enough I have a blocked tube. I have an apt with my DR this week to get more results from the HSG test and am worried that I may need surgery or my tube removed. I will find out tuesday UGH Thanks :)

Hi ladies, just checking in.

Hey, do any of you know anyone who has this problem? I have IBS and have been put on protein shakes for a nutritional defiencey. Basically, how to say this delicately, as soon as I eat, it's ah, gone out the back way if you know what i mean. :headache::sad2::mad: Consequently, I have lost a lot of weight this past year.

I'm being put on a diet of extra protein and veggies and fruits. I am drinking the shakes. It helps, but I still go a lot. I am taking prenatals to help with the vitamin loss.

Any suggestions?

We have been told to wait till I get better with this prob before we TTC. For the baby. I'm trying ya know? It really sucks.

Anna
