I didn't do lupron, but an internet "buddy" who was cycling just before me did, and didn't have any real complaints that I can recall.

I had been on BCPs for about 6 weeks (which made me miserable-low dose so I was spotting like crazy) and came off those after a baseline on I believe Thursday before I started meds. Saturday I started Bravelle and Luveris. They increased my Bravelle dosage a few times. I had to add Ganirelix on Day 7 to my Bravelle and Luveris. It BURNED. Not going it, but a few minutes after. I'm pale, and it left about a 3 in. circle on my skin for a while. I had taken Bravelle before, but not the others. I didn't have any real side effects to speak of.

The only reason we did Luveris instead of Menopur was the way my insurance covered it. My doctor didn't have a real preference, they were just trying to help save me a little money. They even sent some of my meds through a second pharmacy (we used Freedom and Success Meds) to get me the lowest possible prices. My estrogen was low, which was part of the reason they kept adding Bravelle.

I only ended up having to do about 8 days of injections prior to retrieval because I was ready earlier than typical. I started the progesterone the day after retrieval. There were quite a few pills for a while-a z-pack, steroids, baby aspirin, etc.

Hope that answers your questions! I know I was very stressed about the procedure and pain afterwards, but that really didn't end up being a big deal at all.

Holy cannoli! That's a lot of meds. Gotta do what you gotta do, right? It worked for my SIL :) I don't know much about her experience, though since we're not close.

I so wish you the best of luck and lots of pixie dust!

I did lupron after endo and the side effects I remember are ocasional hot flashes (weren't a big deal to me b/c I was always cold) and migraines. I don't remember feeling b****y, but my DH and some co-worker have disagreed with that. ;)

ETA: I forgot about a side effect - weight loss! I seriously could not keep a pound on me, even with constant eating. I think I lost ~ 30 pounds in less than a year. But I wasn't ttc, so you probably won't be wishing for that side effect.

Just wanted to chime in because I'm bored! I'm at 5dpo, and I wish time would pass just a tad faster! I was hoping for a Christmas BFP (keep dreaming, right?) but 10 dpo is just a little soon for that. I gotta get my mind off it because it's gonna be a BFN and I don't wanna ruin my Christmas either. Gah!! THat and I feel like I'm a walking infection... I have a cold sore, a lump under my chin from the cold sore, and the stitches that the RE never took out are red again. LOL. I need to live in a warmer climate because this cold weather does me in EVERY year. It gets cold, I get sick. That and I could really use some sleep, nice restful quality sleep. :cloud9:

Feel better Mrs. Charming. I'm in the waiting game also, it's a total drag.

Isn't the 2ww a total PITA?? This whole TTC thing is such a stressful waiting game that drags on a month (or more!) at a time. I so wish I could speed up the process, ya know?

Count me in on the waiting game! It is definately a PITA!

We desided over the weekend that even though we are suposed to test on 12/30 we are going to wait until 1/1. We have our Church wedding and lunch on the 31st and I don't want to be sad on that special day if it doesn't work out ya know?:lovestruc I'm just protecting my family's happiness, and mine own for that matter.

I have to admit that I'm rubbing my belly every now and then willing eggs and swimmers to do the mambo and telling my belly that I love it. I know i'm setting myself up for a boat load of disappointment:rolleyes: but I just feel the need to BELIEVE! :goodvibes

Mrs. Charming ~ So sorry bout the cold sore. Get some Releve! It's wonderful and really takes care of those quick! We have a couple of bottles in our house. It's expensive but WELL worth it!

chloelovesdisney ~ Stay strong sister! pixiedust:

minnieandmickeymouse ~ Holy Meds Batgirl! WOW! I'm thinking there should be a spreadsheet somewhere to keep track of this stuff right? I'lll do some research!

LisaRN97 ~ Thank you for the kind thoughts!

WDWAurora ~ How'r ya feelin?

Peace out ladies and Baby dust pixiedust:

I think that ClearBlue needs to develop a "complete cycle" monitor that monitors your estrogen, LH, progesterone, and HCG (if applicable) all in one test kit. Wouldn't that make life SO much easier?!

Esbrick - I'm slightly embarrassed to admit I also the rubbing belly talk. I have a feeling we're not the only ones. :rolleyes1

Five more days till it's time to test. I am going to try my very best and wait till then. If no AF I have to go to the doctor on Monday for a bloodtest. I have moments when I feel like this might happen, and others when I think it's a lost cause this month. I guess I'll know pretty soon one way or the other.

I am holding out hope for some December babies here, I think the holidays bring good luck.

We're back from the b-day trip. Had a great time.

Kiki - Got the package! Thanks so much!! Will let you know if it brings good luck.

Chloe & Esbrick - Here's hoping the belly rubbing pays off. :drinking1 I have to admit, I've done it too.

Don't remember who posted about the Lupron, but I did that after my lap surgery for endo. Had some hot flashes and moodiness, but nothing else.
Two years later I got pregnant, but not sure if that contributed to it or not cuz we did IUI.

:thumbsup2 I'm with you on that!

Good luck to all those in the 2ww right now.

An all in one clearblue monitor would be a really good idea!!

Thanks for the info on side effects of lupron. Tomorrow night is my first injection, eekk!

esbrick-things are going really well here. I have no complaints.

Mrs. Charming-your invention would have made my life way easier, that's for sure!

I need to invent that device, some way, some how!! Then sell it for beaucoup bucks and be rich :lmao:

I bought two dollar tree tests tonight. It's WAY too early but I don't wanna waste the one CB Digital that I have on a BFN. (Like I'm gonna get a BFP, ha..)

I wish I could do those "belly talks," I used to but I just can't seem to anymore. TTC has really messed with my emotions!

I too hope that the holidays make some magic for us :)

D&DD ~ Welcome back Sister! Glad your trip went well! WDW at this time of year is FANTASTIC! Glad you're back though:goodvibes

minnieandmickeymouse ~ Best of Luck with the injection tonight and the beginning of this stage of your journey! We are all rooting for you!:goodvibes

chloelovesdisney ~ I was looking up the 5 days and I'll be in Ireland but totally looking for the alert email that a new thread has been posted on TTC!:goodvibes I'm the same way. Sometimes I'm good and sometimes I'm like what the heck! Don't get so happy. You'll just be disappointed.:sad2: Grrr talk about the merry go round of emotions!:upsidedow

I have one PT in the bathroom cabinet downstairs and I'm going to buy a box on Saturday before I leave. Ireland has them but #1 You think things are expensive here! Sheesh! Way more expensive there; #2 We are in a small village and news travels fast. I'd rather this be quiet for a while and of course #3 if I have them I can do them whenever I want! Ha!:thumbsup2

I'm off tomorrow so trying to figure out last minute stuff today. My mind has already checked out to be honest.

Talk atcha latas!
E

PS ~ Still rubbing the belly. . .:upsidedow

Crossing my fingers for all of you in the 2ww!

BFN for me today. :sad2: I'm on CD 36, and no AF in sight. I'm pretty sure I felt o-pain on CD 20-22, but DH & I were working opposite shifts that week and barely saw each other much less anything more. So I'm not surprised by the bfn, but I'm still disappointned.

I also want to know when the heck AF is going to show up so we can start on next month. Seriously it's day 36 already, and I used to be a normal 28 day girl. Why does TTC have to be so frustrating!

*hugs* I'm sorry, Pollito. :( I'm seeing a BFN in my future too. I'm 7dpo, no aches, pains, sore ta-ta's.. nada. It's even more calm than my usual luteal phase.

Oddly, I felt a few sharp pains in my right ovary area this morning... but I already had a LH surge *over a week* ago. ::sigh:: I wish my body would sh*t or get off the pot with this ovulation thing. I'm just about to order my CBE sticks for next month, 12 sticks won't last me a whole cycle, I went through 18 of them this month. I remembered earlier I may possibly have one clomid refill. I just might get it filled. The desparate feeling is coming back. ::sigh::

Esbrick-- have a great time in Ireland! :)

Pollito, sorry about the bfn.

Esbrick, have a great time in Ireland, and I hope that your get your bfp while there!

3 more hours until I give myself my first shot!:scared1: I plan on making my DH video tape it so I will have to be brave, lol. We'll see if that works, lol.
