New adventures have been loaded onto the website. New Zealand has not been added. Boo.
Not much new. I'm trying to figure out what's different about the AZ/Utah trip -- do they no longer stay in the Grand Cyn park?

There's one freaking Adults Only Montana trip for 2017, and it's marked as "Waitlist Only". That sucks.

Any idea why so many dates are already "waitlist only" when sales didn't start until today?

Not a clue, and I'm not very happy about that. In the past, I was told it meant a private party had gotten the trip as an exclusive departure, but that seems like a *lot* of trips to have taken up that way. I really think if a private group takes the only Adults Only departure of a trip, they should offer another one for "ordinary folks" to take. That's really disappointing. I was pretty much ready to book the Montana trip if they had an Adults Only one.

It's interesting that I can't find any description of the AMAKristina (the ship for the Rhine river cruises) on the website. They were big on showing the cabins & the deck plans & describing how they'd customized the AMAViola especially for ABD. I wonder if this ship has been customized or if it's just a similar ship that AMAWaterways already had?

It looks like they removed the Winter in Wyoming. I was hoping for a January 2017 date for that one. The Rhine River cruise did look interesting - and NOT exorbitantly expensive (maybe because I just looked at the DCL summer rates :))

It does look like they have lowered/adjusted their prices on at least some of the trips. Our Italy-Amalfi Coast itinerary is $600 cheaper (based on one adult + one child) for June 2016 than it was when we booked opening day prices last year. Couple that with a TA discount, and you could save $950 on an $8300 trip.

I won't be booking for next year, though. I want to stay in North America (Alaska, Canada or Hawaii). We pretty much have to travel in June, and ABD just doesn't offer any North American itineraries in June that work for us. Tauck has so many more dates to choose from.

Edited to add that Dreams Unlimited upped their 2017 discount...you could save $1050 over the 2016 opening day prices by booking the trip above with them.

They removed Tasmania from the Australia itinerary now there are more days on the Gold Coast. I am booking it but can anyone comment if that's a bad change.

I was surprised by the (relatively) low rates especially given DCL's recent pricing. I hate to be cynical, but I wonder if the prices signify some reduction in quality. Hopefully not. Planning to book Backstage Magic today.

I don't think waitlist only just means it's booked by private party. I signed up for a Nashville waitlist for this year, and was told it had nobody signed.

I can't find a description of the holiday itinerary for the Rhine river cruise--anyone know of a way to get that information?

I was wondering the same thing. It makes the pricing for Australia a little better. We were looking at that trip as well.

I looked at BSM and that too has a number of wait list notifications. The special pricing is nice :-) Hopefully we can find a date and book soon.

I did notice the changes to Australia. I love the camel rides. I also think I like the changes they've done. Although, Tasmania did sound like a place to visit.

I think the "waitlist only" trips are trips that they want to see how much interest there is for them before making them official. I think it's their way of ensuring enough interest in a date so that they can cut down on the number of cancelled trips.

We are thinking about Montana for summer 2017, but I want to wait and do our Alaska trip first to make sure we're happy with the experience. The pressure to book out so early is a little too much for me! I'd prefer not to be booking a summer trip until around January, when we know camp and school schedules with more certainty.

I wish there were a way to sort trips by date. Would be nice to be able to pick spring break week, for example, and then see what trips are available that week.

I am curious, in addition to the early booking, are they still also offering an insider's discount for those who have previously completed trips with them? Or did that disappear some time ago?

Cousin Orville, my go to for all things ABD, just posted on another board that he liked visiting Tasmania but thought the Gold Coast sounded good, too! It is certainly going to be easier (and cheaper) to fly into Sydney and out of Brisbane. We booked 12/20-12/30. I am already excited!
