I will be there for 9 days!!!! BUT!!!! My GF will not be there until the last 3 days. I will be there for work, and my company is paying for the trip including gas instead of putting me in a hotel!!! So i have 6 days to spend by myself. I wouldn't think i would be lonely and bored but what should i do by myself???

I will be there Sept. 12-20.

Visit the parks in the evenings, have nice dinners at some of the resorts. Or if your work schedule is hectic park it under your awning in a lawn chair with a cold beverage of your choice!!

Get a cooler of beer and two lawn charis. Hang out some green ears and make friends! :thumbsup2

Oh, and fish.

Whoa!

Did some computer glitch just happen?

Did Frank somehow log onto MomofSixinSC's account?

Or is MomofSixinSC channeling Frank?

Weird.

You're kidding right?! :rotfl:

Seriously, I love my wife to death but I would have no problem whatsoever doing the things that I want to do for a few days at the World alone. If nothing else, you can get on the rides faster by using the single-rider lines. Or, just hang out at the Fort and go looping, watch the fireworks, go fishing, etc, etc.....:confused3

Dude, it's ok to have fun without the girlfriend. It doesn't mean you love her any less. Enjoy yourself!

WHAT! I totally agree with Robert6401. I've been to WDW by myself and it was wonderful. Ride/see/eat what you want, when you want. Don't like to go in all the shops? Then don't! Bored at WDW? Never!!! Lonely? Your GF is only a cell phone call away.

Hey, I am getting so beat up on the Budget Board, I needed a Fort break, even it is only a cyber-break. And after reading the posts on this board, I know how to have a good time at The World. Hang out with Fort Fiends, even if you have to bribe them with beer.

Okay, the fishing part was just to get it in before Frank did. (Shh...don't tell!)

I have made a couple of tirps to Anaheim for work. I just wandered around the area, visited Downtown Disney, and had dinner a time or two. It was strange not having the kids there, but it was a nice break from the routine.

WOW!:cool1: 6 days alone? Wow, what I wouldn't give for just 1 day. Don't get me wrong--I love my husband and kids...but if I had all expenses paid, I would go over to the GF and get my spa on!...and go to Epcot and go shopping at Downtown Disney,...and, and, and....oh my head is spinning from the possibilities:dancer:

you should NOT feel guilty,..is it her fault she can't come earlier?

Knock yourself out, relax, breathe the fresh Fort air....

Just don't forget to hang out your clothesline:laundy: and your green ears:thumbsup2

:lmao:My DH just said the same thing when I read OPs post. ENJOY! What I wouldn't give for a couple of days with some "me" time in Disney! Loop! I've always enjoyed meeting so many different people on each trip. Love talking to all the people that work in Epcot at the restaurants at World Showcase!

Ditto! I adore hanging with my fam, but the combo of Disney + alone time would put me over the edge in happiness. (And then having another three days with my family would = the recipe for pure bliss.)

Enjoy!

I saw that thread on the budget board, but i had no ideas for ya, and some of those folks need to get off their high horse. Have a good trip :thumbsup2

:laundy:

I don't how I missed seeing that one! I've been reading comments about not forgetting your thong....now I understand!

I love my DH more than I can tell you. We do almost everything together. He is my best friend and I can see how the OP would feel a little lonely, but get over it. If I had just 2 days to do what I wanted to do I would be in heaven. DH can’t sit still for a second. Has to be on the go all the time and hates just sitting at the pool. I on the other hand would spend pool time and just relax. I would visit the parks and just roam or go on rides that I don’t usually go on because he gets queezy on them. I would watch the fireworks and parades from the parks because he HATES crowds. I would spend my time very happily and when he got there on the last 3 day it would make me happy to do things with him that he wants. Only this time I would think….gosh I wish I could….because I did.

Expenses are paid but no shopping lol. Just food, rent, gas.

I suspose your right!!! I think it will be a blast. I have about half free time half work time.

I just printed my green mickey and laminated it. I will hang it somewhere!!

;) Glad to see you found your inner sassy pants.

ETA: Good Gracious MomofSix! I just read your thread on the Budget Board. I read every word.

I wish I could just send you $300.00 and a great big hug!

You've had some rough times on the Dis haven't you?

I'm glad you hung in there! You've got more of us pulling for you than you do against you! ;-)

Big Lug: Bored while alone at the Fort? NEVER! NEVER EVER!!

It's not your fault that work is paying the bill so you may as well enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Most of my Disney trips are solo trips, and I love FW as a solo. I like to rent boats on Bay Lake, or bike around the fort, or just lounge on the beach and watch the world go by. There's just something so peaceful about having time on your own at the Fort. Don't fight it - enjoy it!

Thanks for the kind words. (Sorry to hijack your thread, OP) You know, even when I was being given a hard time here on the Camping boards, it was because people thought I had asked a dumb question, not personal attacks on my belief system and values.

Still, because oof that thread, one person sent me a cast member ticket for my 3yo, so we won't have to buy her one, and another person sent me some cash through paypal to help with the costs. And I did get some good ideas form the thread. As for the rest, can either :rotfl2: or  It's much more fun to :rotfl2::banana::cool1:
