New tram doors

Not seen anything about this, Matt has sent me these 2 links this morning before going to college but no info with them. A bit of Googling says they have followed the trial at Disneyland, never knew they had them either.

I've always felt vulnerable on the trams (especially swinging round corners or at the underpass at TTc). I always guessed they didn't have enough accidents to make the installation of doors worthwhile - I wonder if things have changed.

is this safety gone too far? I can see some people opening then before the tram has stopped and breaking them in the mad dash to exit the park.
