New to Vinylmations

I am new to Vinylmations and I am considering getting into them. I want to find some decent priced vinylmations before I go to DW so I will have some to trade. Anybody know where I can buy some? And how much is a good price on ebay if I know I will probably trade them anyway?

I have found DisneyStore.com to be the most reliable for traders. They regularly have vinyls on sale. I know I am not the only one to do this, as there is usually an influx of the recently discounted vinyls in the trading boxes at WDW.

Vinylmations run about $13 (plus tax) at the Disney Stores and Theme Parks (these are for the current ones). Periodically, the older Vinylmations are discounted. As the PP said, Disneystore.com is a good place to find discounted vinylmations (right now there are a few from the sea creature series for $5).

From a pricing stand point, I suppose as long as you get the ebay Vinylmations for less than the current park price you're ahead.

At the parks, you can trade vinylmations, but there are a few rules.

Different locations and Cast Members have differing rules as well.

Such as:
At D-Street, the Cast Member has always stated that you must take the trade from the blind trade box and if you don't like it you can trade from the clear box.

The Cast Members that I enjoy coming across are the ones who 'assist' you. If you pick a number and they think it's one that is not a good one, they make a little face or discreetly shake their heads.

disneystore.com has some on sale right now. Be warned. We were there first week of January with nice vinylmations. We kept getting the same ones over and over again. My son was furious especially when the cm made him trade. This also can get very very expensive so be careful.

also, are you close to some sort of disney outlet store near you? you can often find them there for a good price as well ie $6-$8. if you do buy from the online store and choose free shipping make sure you plan for up to two actual weeks. it just depends sometimes. i have had both experiences of quicker and real long shipping times.

Found some on disneystore.com (chinese zodiac) that were 2 for $10. Boughts some of those and also bought a few on ebay for about $6 each. I think I got a good deal, I just hope the ones I got are not so common that I keep trading and getting duplicates.

If you are in the area of WDW and can get to the Prime Outlet shops by Lake Bryan - it is 5 - 10 minutes from DTD - Disney's Character Outlet is there and they have a nice variety too.

I am new to Vinylmation trading too! My family and I are stocking up right now on Disneystore.com with the bonus $1.99 one you can get with any other Vinylmation Disney Parks Authentic purchase! Last week, they offered a special for a few days where you could get the bonus one for 99 cents! They also had the Big Eyes on sale 2 for $5! I purchased the 2 Big Eyes, one Disney Parks Authentic (DCL Donald Duck,) and got the bonus 99 cent one all for a total of about $25 with tax and shipping!! I was so excited!
