New to Using Cabs-Car Seat?

O'kay, I'm not a world traveler and have only been in a cab a few times. How does it work if you have kids that should be in a car seat? There are 4 adults and 2 children in our party, so is it better to request a van?

DD5 has a booster seat at home, but was OK in a cab w/o... for that number of people you will need a 7 seater van... the regular cabs can seat 4 passengers max. The 7 seaters were everywhere, although if heading for a time-crtitical ADR or whatever probably a good idea to allow an extra ten minutes or so to allow time for the valet guys to get one there for you.
