New to US, which resort?

We our booked at the BC @ WDW 4/23-26, and we have just decided to check out US this trip. We would like to stay at one of the resorts there, but do not know much about them or US for that matter. We want to check in on Friday the 21st and stay till Sunday the 23rd. There will be 4 of us me, dh, dd (6) and ds 13 months. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA

We have visited Universal about six times and have stayed at all three resorts. We still like the Royal Pacific the best even though its the least expensive.

The theme is very nice, not as noisy as the Hard Rock (lot of kids), not a "stuffy" as Portofino (too far a walk to the parks).

If you have a AAA membership, you may save a lot too at any of the resorts.

Also the front of the line is great!

I checked the Loew's site and got RPR for $174 and PBH for $214 using Annual Pass Holder rates. HRH wasn't available. AAA did not come close. It might be worthwhile to buy at least one AP.
