My husband, 8 year old daughter and I are WDW veterans and will make our first trip to Universal. Very excited, but just discovered we will be there for the Harry Potter fan event, which makes me nervous because I chose this time of year for decreased crowds. I'm planning on a 3 day park hopper pass. What are the must dos?

The Potter event is going to be hard to judge on how it will effect crowds, especially in the WWoHP. Those of us there for the Celebration get entrance to the WWoHP at 6 AM for all 3 of the days. So that means we will be let in 2 hours before early entry and 3 hours before regular park opening. That could mean that a good portion of those there for the Potter event could be done with that section before the day crowds come in. However, there is no certainty on that of course. If Potter is something on your to-do list then it will probably be best to still use Early Entry(if you are staying on-site) and if not try to head to that section first thing and maybe try again later in the evening as usual.

As for the rest of the IOA and the Studios there will probably be an increase in crowds but not as much as the WWoHP. Those there for the Celebration will also have events to attend such as autograph signings and Q&A sessions in IOA.
