Hello, We are DVC members and are taking our First crusie on November 2nd! Our family is so excited! Our kids birthdays are in November and they will be turning 9, 7 and 7. We have booked our shore excursions already. I have been told that there are other things we need to reserve as soon as we board the ship. Can you experienced cruisers help me with suggestions to make our trip hassle free. Any tips to make it more memorable? We're staying in a family stateroom with a verandah. Thank you!

If you are interested in Palo's for Dinner, Brunch or High Tea book those as soon as you board. It is for 18 yrs and older so not something that can be done with the whole family.

Other than Palo's, there would be Spa ressies you might want to make, or excursions........ enjoy!

You can also sign your kids up of "Oceanears Club. on deck 5. They provide a complete program for all ages from morning to late at night if they want. They even have a program for Castaway Cay. For the 7 yr olds you will get a pager so they can page you from the club if they want you to come get them. The club also takes care of feeding them by taking them to the buffet area to eat Lunch and dinner.

Welcome to the boards. If your on the 7 day cruise they also have a DVC get together during the week. It doesn't happen on the 4 or 3 day so I'm told.

From what I'm told and I;ll find out soon as I"m leaving for our cruise tomorrow Palos is well worth it so make sure you get a reservation for that.

Good luck and ask away on questions as there are some really experienced cruises here on this board. It is one big happy family.
Everyone trying to help each other out.

Welcome again

Just wanted to say hi. We are on the same trip. There is a thread just for our group started by garyss7 titled something like "Are there any New Jersey Cruisers on Nov. 2nd?" Sign in and join the fun.

I have 3 children also....2 of them twins too!

We went three years ago for our twins birthday (they were 6 turning 7). Well we had the BEST time of our lives. So we went for their 8th birthday. After that we just gave up and said, "Let's do this for thier birthday every year!" So we just celebrated their 9th birthday and I booked the cruise for their 10th birthday while we were on board.

We are 'hooked'.....and boy! What a birthday memory they will have when they grow up. We are lucky their birhtday is in 'off season' (September). We couldn't afford to do this in the summer months.

Have a great time! The children will love it and so will the parents ;) !
