Hi everyone.

Well, I've just booked by first cruise for the Bahama cruise in September 2008. I'm taking my 9 year old dd and my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. I have a couple of questions.

How does the insurance work? Do you get your money back if you decide to cancel prior to lets say 90 days before you sail?

About how much does the Palo restaurant cost? Is is worth the money?

Is the pull out couch comfortable? We will have 4 to a room.

What hotel do you stay at in Port Canaveral since we will have to come a day early? How is it decided when you board and who goes when? I don't want to be the last one on the ship.

How does the photo packages work? Is it very expensive? If you don't want to buy the pictures that they take, will they take pictures for you with your own camera?

Any other special tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

The one thing I can definitely tell you, stay at the Radisson! It's like Radisson at the Port, something like that. But it's a wonderful hotel. We've gone on 2 cruises in the last 15 months, and we always go a day early too, just to make sure we don't miss the ship. The rooms are like $110-120/night, and they're really nice rooms. They've got a great pool, bar and restaurant, plus a good breakfast buffet.

Oh, and the other thing is they do a free shuttle to the ships. You'll get all your info in a few months, and it will explain everything about embarkation, including the time it starts. It goes for a few hours too, so don't worry. Oh, and make sure you schedule your group reservation for the hotel shuttle the night before, it does get booked up a bit. The hotel is pretty popular with the cruise crowds.

Oh yeah, this is just general info. I've never been on a Disney cruise, did Carnival the last 2 times. Loved them too!! Cruising is just a great vacation in general. It's so relaxing, carefree and a lot of fun!! Have a great time!

I believe if you post htis on the cruise board here you will get awesome responses!:goodvibes
