Ok Im new to the College Boards. Ive been a member of the Disboards for years and I just wanted to say hi. So what colleges are you all going to? And Im thinking about doing the Disney college internship next year do any of you have some advice on how I can get accepted and if you've done it, what did you think of it? Thanks!!

I go to Broward College here in South Florida. This will be my second college program, so obviously I think it's fantastic because I'm going back. We actually have someone on here, her name is Joanna, and this will be her 5th CP. I'm sure she'll pop in here at some point.
On the matter of getting accepted, check off any role you'd be willing to do, and try to make at least one of them be Quick Service Food and Beverage, Merchandise, Attractions, or Custodial. These are the roles with the highest acceptance rate I believe (don't quote me on that lol).
One thing I always press when I'm telling someone about the CP, and some other vets will tell you the same, is that it's a great experience; but it's also a job, and it's not always glamourous. You might get crazy hours, and probably will, because CPs basically fill in where Full Timers didn't bid to work. But don't let that discourage you! It's a great learning experience, and you can have loads of fun. But most often the people who go in expecting to party and play all the time get disappointed, so it helps to be prepared for this before you leave.
If you show up to work on time, do your job, follow the rules, and have a positive attitude it's one of the best experiences you can ever have in your life.
