New (To Me?) FP+ Glitch - Update in OP

Yes, I can totAlly imagine! They claim they only canceled theirs..... But you can see every step of the way who you are canceling for. I removed them from the friends and family list when I realized what had happened. After that, they called and were told that they weren't connected so they couldn't have done it. I was like... Yeah, cause I removed your rights by then!

You can be mad at me all you want, but you don't mess with my niece and nephew.

Wanted to update, after spending many hours trying over and over again, I did manage to get Anna and Elsa again during an afternoon while we are there. Still haven't found mine train for any time, but most of the other things were able to be replaced to be at least similar to what we had to start. I am so glad I discovered it last week and not right before or when we got down there

I'm glad you found what you wanted. But am still so disappointed that you had to take your chances and hope to get replacement FPs on your own.

Are they really "still in a testing phase" at this point? :confused3

This is not meant to be snarky, at all...but for those saying "take a screenshot of your FP+s, just in case..." what do you think this is going to accomplish? Again and again guests have been told that they can't do anything about various Disney glitches that have erased FP+s. A screen shot isn't going to magically change that response. Are you hoping that GR in the parks can/will do more?

As for how to avoid this...I'd say the only way to really avoid it is to treat Day 60 as the last day for making package changes. Other than that, you're playing FP+ roulette. I was considering adding the DP for an upcoming trip, but after all these posts...nope, we'll just pay OOP.

I agree with your statement in regards to treating day 60 as the final day to make package changes - however in regards to the screenshots - I think it helps to serve as proof to those at guest relations that they did in fact make those FP+ and it's not just some made up story. Although it may seem mute I would hope GR would be more likely to put up an effort to help.

Yes, a screenshot will show that you had a FP at one point, but according to guest relations at MK, you could have changed it afterward. I had a screenshot of FPs for A&E in April. After experiencing a glitch with the MDE app (which I reported here too), A&E FPs disappeared for everyone in my party, except me. No one at Disney (the resorts, IT, GR...) could or would help us at all. So, based on my experience, I don't think screenshots will help with A&E.

I glad you found someone helpful, OPer. Good luck scoring a replacement A & E fastpass!

You'll probably save some money by paying OOP, anyway! So disney is really losing revenue through it's glitchy system. It may seem like small potatoes but it all adds up.

We're doing CRT, Boma, and H&V, in addition to two other table service meals, and we have two kids under 10, so I figured we'd at least be breaking even, and it's convenient. Not convenient enough, though, to possibly undo my A&E FP+!

I called and spoke to a dinner reservation rep (I was making an ADR anyway) who was oblivious to any possibility of FP reservations dissappearing when making package changes.

My next step will be to get some kind of confirmation of my existing FP+ reservations from the person I talk to before adding the dining plan. Hopefully by establishing the fastpass reservations before upgrading and then confirming that they are still there afterward with the same representative I can avoid losing anything while upgrading.

I will report my experience when I get everything finalized.

I was thinking about changing our room only reservation for 9 nights to 5 nights offsite and the last 4 onsite. So I'd be cancelling the first 5 nights. I was thinking that this would mess with my fast passes I already planned(my 60 day window opened last week). Someone said that I would lose my fastpasses I booked that were before the onsite stay(so 5 days worth), I can understand that. But now I'm finding out this very well could eliminate some or all of my 4 days of on site fastpasses because we are making this change.

We are deciding to maybe do the split stay so we could save a little money. It's about $1,100 we'd be saving doing a split stay. I have to decide if the risk of losing my 2 different days of 7DMT fast passes and our A&E fastpasses is worth $1,100. Do I take the chance???? Has anyone made a change like this and not had a problem with their fastpasses??

I wouldn't do it. Too many reports of losing those hard to replace FPs. I'd go for it and chalk it up to a learning experience, then probably stay offsite entirely next time.

Update: Called and added DDP to my reservation (within 30 days and all FP/dining reservations are made) with only a slight hiccup. My PIN for free PH had expired and the system cancelled the PIN when I upgraded. I'm happy to report that all dining and FP+ reservations are intact! The rep I dealt with was fantastic in handling all my concerns about potentially losing any reservations.

I had made fast pass selections for my family of 4 and only mine and my hubby's are showing for EVERY SINGLE ONE! My kids have none on mde. This system is awful. We just upgraded today to free dining. All of our dining ressies are correct

I love how we went from a system that allowed you to pull multiple FP throughout the day, on the day of, in multiple parks, and spit out a piece of paper that you can physically turn in to a CM to prove that you have the right to get in the fastpass line, to now having it all figured out 60 days in advance only to possibly have a glitchy system delete your FP and you are now out of luck. Why in the world can we not at least have a confirmation or tracking number with our FP reservations? I am reserving a spot in line for a ride so technically it's a reservation. Reservations have tracking or confirmation numbers right? What gives? This whole thing just does not sit right with me at all. This can not be how Disney wants things....right? :confused3

We don't have a package. We are staying on a DVC stay using a relatives points. I bought tix from AAA and linked them. I made Fastpass reservations yesterday (read here to see how that debacle went... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3306655 ). The only thing left that I wanted to do was add Memory maker before our trip but now I am terrified to touch ANYTHING for fear of losing EVERYTHING.
