New to DVC

Hello, I am new to DVC and have a newbie question.

I have made my first reservations at VGC. We have been to Disneyland many times and get package deals with Airfare/Hotel/Park-Hopper Tickets/ and other little perks that come with the package.

I contacted the agent that I usually use and she says she can't help me anymore because the packages have to have hotel. Do I just book everything a-la cart now? What about the little booklets with Magic Mornings and things you get with a Disney package?

Welcome to the DISboards and to DVC.

Unfortunately, you can't take advantage of any package deals when you book a DVC room but in the long run you'll save a lot of money on rooms.

Those incentives are reserved for packaged deals. However, DVC brings many perks and discounts with it. You'll get a Perks booklet when you check in and you'll be amazed at what's offered. I never even missed my package booklet (I did miss the lanyard, pins, and luggage tags though). Check out dvcmember.com to get an idea of the perks and discounts. Keep in mind they change periodically, which is why you will get a current Perks book at registration.
