My wife and I just found out that Disney waived on our ROFR for a BWV resale (thanks Timeshare Store!!!!!) :woohoo: We are hoping to close and be in Disney's system within the next month. My wife has a meeting in Orlando the last week of July and I am planning on tagging along. How likely is it that we will be able to get a standard studio room at BWV on such short notice? We will be checking in on 26 Jul and checking out 30 Jul. Also, we are planning on traveling 7-14 Oct 06. How likely is it that we'll be able to get 2 standard rooms at BWV or BCV?

Thanks for any help and we can't wait to come home!

First of all, Welcome Home! :cool1:

Now for a reality check...seems to me it's unlikely that you would be able get either July or October standard view. Those usually go very early in the 11 month window, and in addition of course, October is Food & Wine which is probably the busiest season of the year for the Epcot resorts.

My guess is you will be able to get something, somewhere both times, and who knows, you might get lucky. It doesn't cost anything to call MS and ask.

Good luck!

Welcome Home and I hope you have many years of pleasure at DVC.

First...Call Member Services as often as possible over the next few weeks. That way you know when you are in the system and when you can start making reservations even before they send you all of the final goodies in the mail.

The tough one is going to be BWV. July is super busy with schools closed and families vacationing. You have a short window. If they can not give you what you want right away, have them put you on the wait list and tell them you want it "day-by-day." You have a better chance of getting day-by-day reservations filled. Also tell them you want "automatic confirmation." That way if your room becomes available for a particular day, they automatically book it without taking time to contact you. At some point you may want to ask for a room in another DVC resort like OKW.

Another point, wait lists end 31-days before your check-in date. If you don't have your room by then you are removed from the list. Tell Member Services you want to be on the wait list until 7-days out. Most people don't know about this, but now you do. Don't tell anyone!!!! :ssst:

I think you have a better chance for October, although it will still be tough. Use the same wait list methods I have listed above if you have to go on the list.

Finally, for BCV there is no such thing as a "standard" view room. "Standard & Preferred" are choices that have to be made only at Boardwalk. BCV and the other DVC resorts do not have this distinction. You are basically requesting a studio, one-bedroom or 2-bedroom. Good luck. :smooth:

Very unlikely on such short notice, but give it a try and get on the waitlist. Welcome Home!

CONGRATS AND WELCOME TO OUR HOME :rotfl2:

please wipe your feet :lmao:

as far as Standard studios for your times you will need to waitlist.

I booked at 11 months and get 4/5 standards every year for the F&WF

good luck :cool1:

Welcome home. Keep your fingers crossed because I doubt you'll get any studio at BWV during that time frame. SSR or OKW might be your choices. Never fear because both are great resorts.

Congratulations and Welcome home. In the past year we have been through the resale process 5 times. We just had one get into the system and one in the process. Once Disney passes on the contract the contract then goes to the Disney estopal department. The estopal department is taking almost 3 weeks before the contract is sent back. Once everything is in agreement the final contract is signed by the buyer and seller. Then the contract goes to Disney so it can be entered which could take 1 - 2 weeks. Once the contract is entered it could take 1 - 4 days for the points to be entered so that you can make a reservation. It is a long process but well worth it. Good luck and be patient.
