New to DP and have a ?!

I'm trying to figure all this DP stuff out! We've been to WDW a TON of times and I can't believe this will be the first time we're doing the DP.

Is there a way to have the DP end on the day before we're suppose to check out? I don't want to have to pay for it on the day we leave b/c we won't be using any of the meals. We're getting Dining Plus (I think it's called) with 1 QS, 1 SD and 1 snack. Currently, my DP reservations go thru our entire trip. I was just thinking it'd be great to save that money on the day we leave b/c we won't be using the meal plan that day.

Can this be done if I call WDW?!

The plan is based on the NIGHTS you stay. So, let's say you're spending 5 nights/6 days, you'll each have 5 TS, 5 CS, and 5 snacks. Since you won't be able to use any of your credits on your check out day, you just need to use them before that. You can do two TS in one day if you want, or you could schedule a 2TS credit meal to take care of the extra credit.

You cannot have the dining plan for less than the nights you are staying.

Awesome, thanks! Glad to know we won't have (full day's) extra credits from the day we check out. Not sure when check in will be, but we might have an extra QS to fit in.

DDP credits are good until midnight on your check out day. Always use our last TS on check out day for a Character Breakfast. Great way to end a visit.

Also, know that the credits are pooled for the entire trip from the start. So if you check in on Sunday and have 5 nights, you will receive 5TS, 5QS, and 5Snack credits starting right then which can be used in any order you wish. If you so desire, you could even burn all the credits that day! (Though, this would not be recommended!)
