New to DLP - looking for answers

Hi All,

Looks like a very helpful board!

I've been to WDW and DL (CA), but am now looking at planning our first trip to DLP (wife and kids ages 10/12)

A few questions:
- Any great ideas for finding good deals on Disney hotels, or is calling Disney direct/on-line booking the best option?

- Being able to find a deal that includes VIP fast passes would be Disney nirvana for us....curious to know which classes of hotels/rooms at Disney offer this? Disneyland hotel/castle club only, or are these offered if you reserve suites at the other on-site Disney hotels...? (EDIT: Found this mentioned for DL, NY & Sequoia hotel suites...any others?)

- Trains to/from Disney -- we are looking to combine this trip with a trip to central Paris for sightseeing (we will be coming via train from where we live in Switzerland). How difficult is it to get from Disney to a TGV station.....? (EDIT: found the "Getting to DLP by train FAQ"...thanks!)

You get the VIP Fastpass if you book a Castle Club room or a suite at the Disneyland Hotel, and also if you book a suite at the Newport Bay or Sequoia Lodge

Hi Chris

As far as I know, and I'm sure many others on here can confirm this, booking direct with Disney will be the cheapest. We booked ours with an independant travel agent who booked direct with Disney, when I got quotes from other larger travel agents the prices were a lot higher!
