Saw for the first time today a tab for The Disney Store on the site. The selection is limited mostly to art and t shirts. I wonder if this is a result of the dispute Disney had with the Children's Place over marketing recently. Still kind of wierd to see them selling another company's merchandise on their site, even though it's licensed through them.

Talked to the store manager at my local Disney Store and received the following info about Disneyshopping.com and the Disney Store. The Disney Store went online on July 10th. It will sell everything that you see in the B&M Disney Stores. It will concentrate mainly on clothing. Any thing that you purchase from the Disney Store online will be returnable to the B&M stores. You must have your original packing slip and it must be returned within 60 days.
At some point in the future Disneyshopping.com will cease to sell clothing. It will concentrate on home goods, collectibles, outdoor/garden items, watches, etc. You will not be able to return these items to the B&M Disney Stores.
I think this was the plan all along but it just took some time to implement it. Hope that answers some of your questions.

GOOD TO KNOW...I just went into TDS this weekend and bought my DD the TinkerBell pants, jacket and shirt...and I got each DD a sweatshirt. The stuff is really cute. And reasonably priced. Though since I am sure I can get my 5% through SM SR I might have to re-buy it and return what I got to the mall. Because I spent like $130, so that is a couple extra Mickey bars!

I was happy to see they are reinstating the return policy. I have had so many problems with sizes from the online shopping that I just stopped buying from the site. I did not want to pay shipping to return items.
The manager said it will take some time for the complete turnover, Right now Disney Store online only carries the new Studio line. Eventually it will carry everything you see in the B&M stores. That includes bathing suits, beach towels, pj pals, costumes, etc. Everything will be returnable to the stores with your invoice and within the 60 day time frame.
