New To Boards..need Advice!

Hello everyone. I am new to the boards and I am looking for a little advice. We are planning a trip to Disney in Oct. of 08. I was under the impression that this would be a good time to go (less crowds). After talking with a few people on staff at Disney, I have been told that this is actually a very busy time of year. I have 2 childern, an 8 yr. old and a 4 yr. old. The 4 yr. old gets very impatient waiting in long lines. I was told that because it is close to Halloween, it can be very crowded. Is this correct? Should I try to go at a different time? We are staying at the CR. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

During the whole month of October is busy because of Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween so i would try to go at a different time later on in the year november might be crowded because they start decorating for christmas and december is just crazy the lines are long and you would be lucky to get a couple rides in mid jan should not be that cowrded because kids go back to school. The end of february may not be that crowded because kids have their midwinter break usually the second week of feb so they should be back in. if you have any questions about anything feel free to PM me about your upcoming vacation

My wife and me disneymooned in 1995 last week in October. We have been back most every year since. Avoid the MK in the evening on the 31, unless thats your thing, but you will need extra tickets to get into the parks for the Hallowen party.

Otherwise use fastpast for the biggies if needed. Most other attractions are under 30 mins wait. Last year, last week in Oct at the AK on a Tues the longest wait we had was 40mins on EE. Everything else was just about walk on. Only Soaring at Epoct was longer.

I need to add that we go the last of the month. I understand that there is more Europian crowds earlier in the month. We go for a week around the 28th.

Thank you all so much. We are actually going toward the last part of the month. 19th - 25th. According to the websites, that is a "slow time". I guess we will see. Regardless...I know we will have a blast! I have one more question. How did I get one of those tickers on here? I love that!
