New to Boards -- First Trip To Beach Club

I have been enjoying reading everyone's posts. You certainly get a Disney education on this site!

First trip to Beach Club on 10/31 and was wondering will I have to make a reservation even though I am a guest at the resort for the Character Breakfast at Cape May?

Does everyone recommend the dinner at California Grill to see the fireworks?

You will love the BC. The DW and I will be at BCV Mid October for our 4th or 5th trip. It is my favorite resort and her concession to let me book our room there again this trip.

If it is just one or two people you might be able to walk in. We have before, we have also arrived earlier than our ADR and been seated. Another time no dice. It is a GREAT breakfast buffet. A must for us.

The Beach Club is wonderful... you'll LOVE it!!

I would make reservations for Cape May. It can get crowded and you don't want to risk not getting in, or a really long wait. When we were there, there were always people waiting for tables. Even people with reservations were waiting up to 30 minutes.

If you want the CG for the same time frame as the fireworks, you'd better get reservations soon. They book up very fast, and you're only talking 2 months away!
I haven't eaten there, but people rave about it.

The beach club is an awesome hotel you will love it!!! I just stayed there this past May and plan on staying there again this upcoming May.

I would suggest making reservations for cape may cafe. We ate there and had reservations and were sitted right away!!! we enjoyed ourselves there!


We also ate at california grill! It is a great restaurant and is a great spot to see wishes!!! but IMO nothing beats seeing wishes in the park!!!

talk a walk to spoodles by the boardwalk also! we love it there 2

Welcome to the DIS!! The beach club is beautiful.. can't beat Stormalong bay either!! Definately also check out Beaches n' Cream - try to avoid it right at lunch or dinner, go at an "off hour" as there is limited seating and they don't take adr's.. but their sundaes are awesome! And we love the atmosphere.

Yes, make ADRs for Cape May. Just to be safe.

CA Grill is a good place to see the fireworks. However, timing your ADR to match the fireworks is another issue. I would see it in the park first and if you can grab an ADR for Ca Grill, that will be a bonus.

BC is a great resort, just a stone's throw away from Epcot and a short boat ride away from MGM. In addition, you are so close to so many dining options at other Epcot resorts and World Showcase. Have a great time.

If you're hungry and having trouble getting into a restaurant, try the Yacht Club Galley. I've always had good food there, and I can usually get in as a walk in (unless there's a huge convention in house). I actually prefer their burgers to the ones at Beaches and Cream (I like a thicker burger) although I do usually stop in B&C for a No Way Jose sundae at least once while I'm there.

You will love the Beach Club, we will be there the week after you. It is our favorite place to stay in all of the World.
You should make a reservation for ALL Table Service (TS) meal you want. Since the advent of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP), most if not all TS meals are completely booked everyday. The hotels do not keep spaces for their registered guests. Folks can start making their ADR's at 180 days before check in. Take a look at the menus here on the DIS and also on allearsnet.com to check out where you would like to eat and prices.
I can't stress enough to call Disney Dining for your ADR's ASAP.
