New things I found out about-need advice.

I read that if you are on the first boat over to Tom Sawyer Island that you can look for a hidden paintbrush and then turn it in to a CM and they will give you a surprise. We also just read about a place on Main street that will cut hair and do girls braids with gel and pixie dust. We want to do both. The hair place does not take appointments so we want to get there first thing and then go Tom Sawyer.
Does anyone know if Tom Sawyer Island opens right when the park does or is it later? This will be the week after Easter, so it will be crowded.

I seem to recall that TS island does open later, I recall going last year and we went around did some rides then were on the 1st boat over, so it opened at least an hour after the park, if not 2. I think it depends on what time the park actually opens as to how much later it does open.

Given the choice though I would do the barber shop, we went on the 1st boat with just 1 other couple, neither of us found anything. The barber shop is more of "sure" thing as to what will happen.

I'm also wondering, I don't think the barber shop is open as soon as the gates for the park open either, you might want to see if anyone else can recall that

I've heard that another good time to go to the barber shop is during the parade. It is definitely worth a wait, however. My 2 DDs went and still talk about it. I guess we'll have to do it again.

We went to the MK for EMH, rode a bit in Fantasyland and then headed to the barbershop to be at the door when the entire park opened. Even then we were the second family in line. Boy was it worth it! DD got her first haircut and DS loved his haircut and green hair (though he called it Tinkerbelle snot). Even DH got a cut and some pixie dust! Great cuts and great fun. We will do this everytime we go.
