New Theme Park

Hi, I've just been on the Disney Podcast and a part of the Disney Podcast around the middle talked about the rumours of a new Disney Villian theme park. Other articles also talk about these rumours. I'm just curious if anyone else has heard any of these rumours and, if so, what do you think about it?

The villains theme park rumor has been around for many years. MANY years. I wouldn't count on it coming true anytime soon, if at all. Bob Iger has already announced that Disney currently has no plans to build any new theme parks in the United States.

It seems a new thread on this is coming up every couple days now.

Which podcast? DIS Unplugged? I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet...but I believe Disney execs have already stated that there are no immediate plans for a 5th gate.

I'm planning one for my backyard. Maybe that's what the podcast was talking about

If you listen to the Podcast it points out that with Universal opening The Harry Potter park maybe Disney NEED to do something so they are not left behind.......

shame, it would be really cool to get a new theme park..... i liked the sound of it

Simple, financially it makes no sense. 4 parks (with water pakrs and nightime entertainment) fully occupy a family's week long vacation. Adding a 5th park does NOT attract very many new visitors but merely redistributes the one's there. Why would Disney spend billions to redistribute already paying customers.

Thats why I feel we will never see a 5th gate
