New Sweet Tomatoes on 192

Well that didn't take long... Went today for lunch, 20-25 minutes to get through the line and be seated. Much like Harry Potter land, I imagine they could have built this twice as big and it would still feel crowded. Great food and service, but I have a feeling this is going to a popular place.

What time did you go? Maybe we should plan on lunch at 11:00

The new ST is due to open May 23 -can't wait as I arrived in the area yesterday and will be here for 3 weeks .

We went to the Crossroads location when it opened. They were running a promo for Give Kids the World, it was crazy crowded, but all proceeds were donated to such a great cause.

For that reason alone, we try to frequent ST each trip. I believe the 192 location did the same promo their opening weekend.

They did indeed have a charity opening weekend -I believe it was $5 .

This place sounds fun! We're staying in Emerald Island, so it seems like the new location will be close to us? I just signed up for their coupon club, but the coupon will expire the day we arrive in Orlando. Guess I'll sign up with another email next week! LOL

I've read a lot about this place and looked at the lunch menu online, but have a couple of questions. Do the have kids stuff? Not sure the little one will like much of this. Also, Is it an all you can eat kind of salad bar type of thing? I've read mention of the salad bar, but am confused I guess. :confused3

Thanks!
Becky

They don't have any special Kids menu so unless your little ones like salad ,chilli , soups or pasta they may not enjoy it.Everything is all you can eat we have sen peopl having 3 plates laden with the salads but we have never done that just taking the one and filling that .

They don't have a section of kids meal items, however their hot foods always have Mac & Cheese, Pasta and Pizza. Besides that their location is all you can eat which includes their salad bar, hot food items, soups and desserts.

So glad you mentioned what they always have. SIN won't eat salad or soup and everyone else wants to go. Now he will be happy w/mac 'n cheese & pizza :thumbsup2

Yes, I remember seeing the mac 'n' cheese etc. at a Sweet Tomatoes in St. Louis a few weeks ago. They also had a reasonable fruit selection. So I suppose SIN should have enough to choose from.
