So glad I held out buying our air for our December trip! I usually get the best price 6-8 weeks out and just did once again Got our flights down, $95 each non-stop.
I purchased tickets on AirTran last week but now the fare is $30 less per ticket. Can I get a credit? I know Southwest allows that but I can't find anything on the AirTran web site about it.

Yes, AirTran will give you a credit but you have to call. I booked our February flights with them last week because there was only one specific time that would work (and I guessed prices would go down but didn't want to risk losing the flight), and I now have enough credit to pay for seat assignment and checked luggage.
I'm soooo hoping that SWA has similar deals for travel in May . I am dying to book our flights using my SWA RR points, but am trying to be patient and wait until a sale comes along .
Got the email this morning and was able to rebook our January flights for a credit of $235. Was very happy with that! I do wish it didn't have to be re-booked with the same passenger though~
FYI:
For those flying early dec out of Indy, mine are down to $181.40/person (non stop both ways) all taxes and fees included on Southwerst. Got a credit of $78/ticket since first booking in early september.
