New Summer Meal Offer!

Glad I saw this! I was just about to book, and sent this to our TA.

Maybe. Maybe not. It will depend on how many people you are traveling with and whether you need tickets. As always, everyone has to do the math for themselves.

Yeah, I guess if you don't need tickets. But even at 2 people, it's going to be hard to find a discount that comes out ahead.

But if you're traveling solo, any kind of free food offer is not a great deal. I guess we'll have to see whether room-only discounts can compete. Given that the offer is only for Value Resorts, then I'm guessing that we will some sort of offer for the Moderates and Deluxes.

If you plan to stay Value anyway, this will be better than any room discount you'll get.

This was my first thought about this offer. I think it will be a nice incentive to bring families onsite that typically stay offsite during the summer months. Compared to the past couple of summer general public offers, I don't think this is too shabby if you typically stay value and are interested in the dining plan.

I wouldn't think so. It may depend on why you're staying offsite in the first place. Anyone who's staying offsite would know they aren't getting isn't the dining plan anyway and 1 qs wiuldn't make up the price savings. Just my opinion, but the ddp never saves us money so getting a free lunch isn't worth it.
Not sure how much of a incentive for a family of five moving onsite just to get 1 lunch would be

As pp said you have to crunch the numbers

That's why I said if you typically stay at a value resort and are interested in the dining plan it's not too shabby of an offer compared to prior summer offers.

I totally would not be surprised if this is the new free dining offer- it's the way they can get rid of the big bad pricey free dining & throw $25-$70 a day to a family. Looking at the total dollar value, it doesn't seem to make a huge amount of sense unless you are going that time anyway & are looking for any deals. I'd say check out the room deals if any come out.

For us the deal on orbitz is better. $100/ night at value and we don't have to purchase tickets through Disney which are high to begin with. We always add park hopper too.

We were planning on August 14 as an arrival date, but switched to the 13th and get the "Free" meal offer for our whole stay at Pop. It's a tiny bit more than if we arrived on the 14th, but it's a good deal at this phase. If a better room-only discount comes out, we'll rebook.
