I've just noticed some news about a permit that DLRP have been awarded to allow them to cut down the forest located in and around the Studios park.
This certainly sounds interesting and hopefully they'll manage to make some interesting enhancements to the park, even if they don't remove the entire amount that they're allowed to.
The main text is taken from another website and the general gist is as follows:

A permit to cut 3.9900 ha of the forest located within Walt Disney Studios Park has been posted outside the park (near Val d'Europe).
It's rumoured that parts of the forest will have to go to re-route the Studio Tram Tour road which will partially be taken over by a possible Toon Studio expansion in the near future.
More news on the forest cutting permit
We received some more information regarding the cutting permit we posted about earlier this week. As expected will only a small area of the forest be cut down to allow room for the Toy Story Land and Ratatouille dark ride expansion and to re-route the Studio Tram Tour road between the Station and Dinotopia set.
Walt Disney Studios Park is the only Disney theme park in the world with a real forest within its berm, so its obvious that it will be preserved as good as possible. In fact, plans call for an integration of the forest with the Toy Story Land.
