new stroller size

Hi everyone,
I read that Disney has new strollers and they are quite small. We are going in August for 12 days. My DS is 6 (49lbs) and gets tired in the evenings. We usually get one when we go to DL just for that purpose. Anyone been there recently can tell me how the strollers worked for them. THanks so much.

The new strollers are much smaller. I guess you could rent a double and there would be little more room. When we were in MK in November, all you could see were legs sticking out and kids jammed in. They were noticeably smaller. I see my 3 yo granddaughter being comfortable, but she doesn't use a stroller anymore and prefers to walk always.

I got a stroller for DNiece age 6 to use during Dec. 30 fireworks late at MK. It was chilly so we wrapped her up and she fell asleep while we waited.

She is not big for her age and it was a bit small but served its purpose. I considered getting a double, but $31 seemed a bit steep (singles are $15).

We resolved the problem of a tired kid early by making shorter stays at the parks. We would go early in the AM, leave about noon. Go back in the late afternoon, leave around 9 or 10. Now that he's a big kid, he and dad stay for EMH in the evening until the wee hours while mom heads back to the villa.
