New SSR Preview Center Photos

We had the opportunity to tour SSR on Friday. The DVC Sales Center has now moved to the SSR site and DVC operations at BWV will be ending as the old office spaces are converted into more BWV villas.

I was able to update photos of the SSR resort. The resort is beautiful, nicely landscaped and elegantly furnished. We check in this week for 3 nights and are looking forward to a 1BR villa. All dedicated 2BR's will have 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR and all Studios will have a queen and sleep sofa.

The GV's do not have a balcony from the living room, but so have a small balcony off of the dining room. The windows in the living room are spectacular. The model has a stunning view across the lake towards PI/Cirque.

The quiet pool is beautiful, with a nice children's play area. The nearby fireworks viewing pavillion is elegant with a fountain and rocking chairs looking out over the lake

The High Rock Springs Pool is a wonderful amenity with 2 hot tubs , the slide, zero entry area and several waterfalls. The spa is open and accessed from the pool/check-in area.

The Artist's Palette dining area looks beautiful- a nice area to enjoy a snack.

Construction on the remaining buildings is progressing faster than I expected, but they do plan to open the 5th building in January.

Thanks for the wonderful pictures of my home! I have a question, how do you arrange a tour? I will be at WDW May 23-38th (not at SSR though, and not at the member's homecoming). Do I just visit one of their booth's or do I need to call my guide?

Wonderful photos Doc! We don't arrive at SSR until 07/01........the place looks so beautiful it seems like a long way off yet until we'll be there.

It's interesting to see how the former Disney Institute campus buildings are being reused for SSR.

The campus (classrooms, restaurant, spa, performance center) opened in March of 1996. The campus was designed by noted architect Richard Beeby.

I was there for the Open House on May 7, but this is the first time I've seen pictures of the pool with people in it. Also, I didn't see the place to view the fireworks when I was there, so this was new to me.
