Starting tomorrow, Oct. 2, guests who are purchasing a 12-month annual pass will be able to enjoy an extra month. That’s right, 13 months for the price of 12! New passes must be purchased between Oct. 2, 2016 and Jan. 3, 2017. Prices vary depending on the type of pass you select: Weekday Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus."

this will likely push us to buy an AP since our trip overlaps a few days next year with this year... this would help with that but we will have to go through an increase in pricing first because we already have MYW base tickets that we plan to upgrade in December.

yes you should be able to at the ticket window at the parks. Are you going before Jan. 3?

Yup. December 26 through the 8th. We'll be returning next January, so the 13 months is perfect.

So these new benefits are awesome, especially as someone who has an AP renewing this month... the only thing is, has anyone heard rumors of price increases? I'm worried if I renew tomorrow that it will be even more expensive bc of the new benefits... or am I just overly skeptical because I don't trust Disney?

I've read that renewals didn't get the extra month, and read they do. Only time will tell how this all plays out. Also waiting to hear if we buy during the timeframe, when can we activate the pass.

I have a few passes to renew and a new one to purchase so I really hope it applies to renewals as the Orlando Sentinel reported! It would be really shady not to extend it to existing pass holders. Enough to make me not renew because I have been on the fence about keeping our passes to begin with.

Glad this will work out for you guys! We just bought our AP about 6 weeks ago so we won't be able to take advantage of the 13 months window. But the other discounts we will be looking forward to them.

I'm excited by this offer. The 13 mos will allow us to get 3 trips from the pass and the 20% makes eating at Disney far more reasonable. I'm guessing the passes can be activated after Jan 3rd but has that been confirmed?

Im calling member service today. We renewed ours on Sept. 27th and will be using them on Oct 26 th for first time. Hope they pass on the extra month.

Talked with member service and they said needed to call Disney Ticket area. Called 407-566-4985. They asked when was my activation date and said we need to go to Guest Relation Services and should be no problem in getting the 13 month program. I asked is that it and they said yes. Good news today

That would be nice! I have an AP voucher that came with a point purchase from a long time ago that I believe I'll use this year as I need a day or two in the April blackout period. Having 13 months will give more options for travel next year.
