? "NEW SIGN-IN TO YOUR ACCOUNT" even though it is not new.

Please move this thread to the appropriate section if necessary.

I was trying to book some different WDW event tickets for my upcoming September trip. For the past two months, I keep receiving an email saying that there is a new sign-in to my account, every time I sign in. There is not.

It doesn't matter if I log in to MDE, ShopDisney or any other Disney site, I still get this same message. I changed my password when the notice first appeared but still I get the message.

I'd like to book a tour but it is a pain to keep having to re-login to check on details.

I would be very grateful if someone might have an answer since nothing, including booking dining, auto-fills anymore. Auto-fill is my most pressing problem as I miss out on times having to continuously log in.

Many thanks.

I’m having the same issue and it is driving me batty. Hopefully someone here has a solution.

This started with my DVC logins three years ago and gradually extended to all my Disney accounts. I think of it as a routine security thing (if I ever get one and have not recently logged in I’ll know to change my PW) and I just delete them.

The major concern for me is that in the past, if I reserved dining or something else on MDE, it would auto-populate my login and my reserved time would be secured. Now, I time out while I'm having to re-login and wonder if this will be a problem when using Genie +.

I have this issue every time I log in and it's been annoying me for years. At this point, I just delete the emails and move on. I know Disney isn't going to bother fixing the issue at this point.

I feel like maybe I started getting these emails when they went to one login across their brand - Disney plus, the gift card site and MDE. It is annoying because on safari on my phone I never had to log in again. It kept me logged in. The app does keep me logged in - just takes a second to figure out it is me each time I open it.

I have the same thing happen every time. I’ve called support and done the chat and the only I answer I ever get it that it’s “supposed to work that way.”

I suspect it may be due to use of a VPN (or other privacy measures), which may trick the Disney-side servers into thinking it’s getting a connection from a new location. But that’s just my untested theory.

Yup. Me too for about 3 years. Every single time I log in I have to enter my password, and I get the email about a new device used for logging in (it’s not).
The email I just delete, no big deal. But the whole logging back in each time I hate, and is a waste of time

It's a security feature, designed to hinder cybercrime. I get them every time I log in to my brokerage account. "New" sign-in just means recent sign-in. Disney alerts you whenever someone signs into your account in case it is a hacker and not you that signed into the account. People often have their credit cards linked to their MDE accounts. It could be detrimental to both Disney and the account holder if hackers got into those accounts undetected.

The Disney web site suffers from some serious deep technical design flaws, including way too many cookies that can stomp on each other. If you want to fix it, there's a few things you can try (no guarantee any of them will actually work)
- make sure you're not in private browsing/anonymous mode in your browser
- make sure you're not using a VPN
- make sure you're logging in from the same network every time (i.e. not from one starbucks one day, and at home the next)
- clear all of your browser cache including cookies. Note: This will also wipe out any stored logins, etc from other pages as well. If you try to delete just the Disney cookies you likely won't find them all, as they're from a myriad of domains.

As I said above, I've been receiving these emails for years, and I believe they're for security reasons as @Tom_E_D says. When I receive them, they do NOT log me out, require me to change my PW, or cause any other trouble. I just delete them and move on.

So twice today the website has wanted to email me a code when I was logging in. That has never happened before. I just closed the window and opened a new one and it let me log in as usual. It did send the passcode but I didn’t want to deal with it. Plus I never set up passcodes to be emailed - always texted. Not sure what that is about

This is correct. If you are logging into a Disney site and don't get the email, it's possible you didn't actually log into a Disney site.

Of course. We know what it is intended to do.

I get the email notification (but not any action needed) if I sign into MDE account when I am not on my home wifi. As long as I know that I have recently signed in, even if the "location" doesn't match exactly, I delete and ignore. When in doubt, I change password

Doesn't everyone get them? I get them every time I sign in, every device, everywhere, home, work, anywhere.
It's a notification which requires no action, just a notification
I ignore them
I really thought they were normal
