New Show - Heroes

Anyone else really excited about the new show Heroes?

I am really looking forward to this show for some reason. Maybe it's the commercials. Or maybe I just like the idea. I can't remember when a show about superheroes was on t.v. and it wasn't a cartoon.

So, anyone else a dork like me? Fess up.

I'm probably going to watch it because it reminds me of how the original X-Men comics were (not the movies though. Never liked the movies because I"m a bit of a purist).

I am soooo there! I can't wait for tonight! It looks like it is going to be a great show! Especially because I was seriously disappointed in the last X-Men movie. I guess I have to have something to look forward to!

maybe you are looking forward to it because it appears to be uplifting. It seems like alot of shows reflect the worst of humanity(murder,rape, etc.)
I dont watch those shows anymore.

When we were in US/IOA in August they were previewing this show. A lot of folks were walking around wearing hats that had seen the previews. We had our 3 kids with us though and they couldn't sit for the preview. I'm not sure if they were old enough but I think you had to commit to 2 hours or so. We'll be watching tonight.

OMG....I was just going to post about this show on the board....I usually hang out on the cruise board but wanted to post about Heroes tonight!!

We have a very personal interest in the show as my DD18 is very good friends with Hayden Panetierre who plays Claire on the show. They have been good friends for years and we are very excited for the series to air. Hayden has been in a ton of things to date and was the voice of Princess Dot in "A Bug Life" way back when..

Just a note....I believe the premise of the show is not based on Science Fiction like X-Men, etc....but is more about ordinary people who find they have powers and use them for good.
