New SHOPS on main street MERGED

where on earth is everyone getting those challenge pins? :confused3 I would like to know too, i have been wondering. The checker lines are so long i havent even been able to play a game.

WOOT! :woohoo: guess I'm not the only lost person in VMK!
It's good not to be alone

If I can figure it out I'll inform you ASAP :)

You get the pin from playing your first game, win or lose. The pin keeps track of how many different players you have beaten.

Some have not received their pin after their first game. Not sure why. I played a game with a fellow DIS member. It was his first game - and we had a great game! It turned out to be a draw. He did not get his pin. Not sure if it was because our game was a draw or an error. Anyone else experience this?

Also, I am sad to say that the VMK "I have not learned how to be a good loser" syndrome is showing itself in the checkers rooms. I played a game with a rather arrogant individual who called the person who beat him before me a "cheater." When it became clear that I was going to win the game against him, he forfeited the game. i asked him why and he said, "You didn't win haha" I told him, neither did he and he said, "but you didn't either. i make you lose haha"
I DO think that maybe vmk should adjust the game somehow so that 1 player does not play a 15 min. game, come 1 move from winning and the other player can just quit - taking the win away from someone who has played well. - sigh -

Why is it so difficult for some ppl to accept a loss. I suppose it's a life lesson.

After playing my game, I won, and it kept me in the chair for the next game.. I got to play three games, before it kicked be out! :rotfl:

Geeze! People must have been on all day playing! In two and a half hours I have played 5 games!

THe current leader is ComicApple on level 43!

The only four people I played against all dc'ed on me and I got my
level-ups. :confused3

I got tired of that music following me everywhere I went so, yeah,
I'm done playing it until they fix that.

Hi,

Just a little info. If a person quits the game or forfeits the game they do loose but you do not. You still gain a level on your checker pin.

I rather like this feature. They need to do something like this for mansion.:rolleyes1

I finally played my first game which was a draw and did not get my pin...too much wasted time for nothing in my opinion.

We should start a thread where people can chalange others!

Good to know, thanks Ace. I guess I went up a level and didn't notice.

3. You move up 1 level for each individual person you play against and win. You can play the same person over and over but you will only move up one level the first win against them. So it does not pay to play your friends over and over. They want you to play against different people.

Bug

So this means that if you happen to play someone again later, (hours, days, weeks) and not realize it you don't advance a level. I can see that causing some confusion. Who is going to keep track of everyone they played? Guess it's not likely to happen given how many players there are, but it can happen.

Okay, after playing around with checkers for a while, I have a few things to add: - I LOVE having a thinking game.

Yeah, guess I kind of agree, but after playing for a while today and only getting to level 5 I think that was too much thinking for me. I think I had one game that went on for more then 15 minutes. :rotfl:

It stinks that the winner stays!

I think you only stay for 2 games max. That's what happened to me when I won and noticed that in other games too.

Make That 47

Around 9:30 VMK time it was in the 50's

I saw some DIS names on the list. Has anyone kept track of the prizes they got at various levels. It would definitely help me look forward to getting more wins if I knew what was coming up. :thumbsup2

I tried to play once, but crashed.

Checkers is going to be a nightmare on the weekends.

I would like to thank that stranger for quitting on me which gave me my first win. ROFL. Finally a game where you can encourage quitting on us ROFL.
