Hmm, I haven't seen GreenieMimi comment on this, yet. But she can attest that both Polychrome and I (while we were closing in the VMK Gallery last night) both made comments at the same time about replacing the Narnia throne. Coincidence? Absolutely.

I was in line to play this morning. I was probably the third or fourth person in line. When I was next to play I had to go pick up my son from school and had to leave. I guess what I'm saying is that it was a pretty long wait, about fifteen minutes I would say as the third person in line. I would imagine that this morning was pretty slow compared to say this afternoon or tonight when everybody is home and figures out what is going on.

Soooo....I'm thinking that the wait in line and how long it takes to play the game may ruin any sort of incentive for me to play, unless the credits in return compensate.
What does everyone else think?

Oh wow, now I'm really confused.

I thought you had to wait in the line of people and when you sat in the throne it was your turn? There is another way to play where you don't have to wait? What is the difference then?

The q is long, no matter if you walk in the checker room and hit play checkers on the poster, or if you click on the poster in the lobby, they have lines for the checkers games, no matter how you click to get in. Good news is this game will be here for a long time!

Hi,

Ink Smalld and me have been playing for a while. Here is what we have figured out.

1. First game you play you get a checker pin no matter if you win or loose.

2. If you double click the checker pin someone is wearing it will challenge them to a game. If they accept you are instantly put into a game-so far we have not had to wait with a challenge.

3. You move up 1 level for each individual person you play against and win. You can play the same person over and over but you will only move up one level the first win against them. So it does not pay to play your friends over and over. They want you to play against different people.

4. If you click the quit game button and leave without finishing the game you loose 1 level. We do not know what happens if you crash-has not happened to us in a game yet.

5. There are 2 magic pins or "tricks" you can use while playing. The first is slight of hand. How this works is if you are next to an opponent's checker and click the slight of hand magic and click your checker then the 2 checkers trade places(you and opponent).
The second is levitation. How this works is if your checker is able to jump 2 checkers that are together it can with this magic.

6. If your turn times out the computer(game) will automatically move you.

7. You are only allowed to use tricks a certain number of times in a game. Once the are used they are gone as they are a one time magic.

I LOVE IT!!!!

Okay, all you really need to know is that the room in my house that should be a living room we completely made into a game room with all your traditional games, checkers, clue, monopoly, etc....

I built a Checkers room in VMK a while back and have had som fun games in there with friends - even with red and blue checkers!

The checkers room makes me giddy like a little kid! This is really great new stuff.

Also, I played a checkers game today with a vmk friend that I have known for almost 2 years who LOVES ghosts, but hates pirates (the opposite of me). Therefore, we never play games together. Now, we can! How very very cool is that?

And a thinking game! Yay!

I want to like this game but so far it is just taking too darn long to play. Even if I click on the poster I am waiting in a line. I suppose if you are a kid or someone with a lot of disposable time this isn't an issue but I need games like pirates where I can play a bit and leave the computer to tend to the kids or whatnot.

Just not impressed so far. Hey, not everyone is going to like everything though, right? It's back to pirates for me.

If you end up in a full room when you click the poster, come back into the magic shop again using the world icon, than click the poster again. Keep doing it until you end up in an empty room.

You can also walk into a different aspect or instance of the room by the exit in the bottom right side. You can just look to see one that doesn't have as many ppl.
