New Ships - What could you do WITHOUT?

This may have been posted before but I can think of a few things off the top of my head.
First, STOP MAKING THE SHIPS IDENTICAL. Give the ships there own identity. Stop making all of the restaurants and spaces the same names, and same theme. I can see utilizing the same space layout, but you can theme a rest differently. They did it with the Magic and Wonder initially, with Tritons, and Lumieres, and Beach Blanket Buffett, and Topsiders. Why now make everything Cabanas? Why not Cabanas, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and 20K? 1 on each ship. Easy.
Give the ships ship specific merchandise. Tervis tumblers with the individual ships name on it,for example. This way you can make a collection of all 6. Bring back more of the original polo shirts that had the DCL logos on them. Not the Nike brand with DCL in tiny font on a sleeve. Give people a reason to sail on all of the ships. Lets put some common sense back into things.
Let a stage show move from 1 ship to another. For example. Ill use Hercules since its not on any of the ships anymore. Let it do 2 years or so on each ship, before moving to the next. Rotate them everyso often. Even if they rotated between ships of the class due to size restraints.

There already paid off. If not real close to it. The initial pay off dates were about 5 years after delivery.

Could be. I don't remember when I saw it, but I think it wasn't long before the ships were delivered. Its one of those things that only gets mentioned a handful of times.

i vote to remove POG juice. i didn't even know it was available until i read about it on another thread.................

I'm sure my serving team would appreciate it. I didn't know they didn't have it in the MDR so I ordered it, turns out they had to run to Cabanas to get it. I made sure to thank them well.

This thread sure proves that everyone's likes and dislikes are all different. I read a few posts and totally agree. I read more and think, gosh, that's my favorite, I'd hate to see that go. I'm happy with all the ships. I like Shutters. Outlook Bar is my favorite for quiet time. Adult pool is a must. Theaters are great. I've seen packed lounges. I like it all. (P.S. I'm tired of Pirate night but if everyone else is still enjoying it, that's great, keep it)

100% agree. At a minimum, make the restaurants different themes. Between Dream and Fantasy, the only difference is one is named Royal Court, and the other, Royal Palace! Otherwise...the same!

I'd also like to see them swap ships for the dedicated itineraries. Let the Dream swap over to the Caribbean itineraries and let Fantasy do the Bahama runs. Switch them every two years. Let people who only do shorter cruise experience something different, and likewise for those that like longer trips.
