I know, I know, I know, it's way early but I am going through cruise withdrawl and it makes me feel better to know I am on a list to go on the new ship in 2011 for the maiden voyage!!! I figure if I can start this thread, it will keep me going for the next 3 years:rotfl2:

Never. I have taken two Maiden Voyages. First one was on the Magic. My advise is to let them work the kinks out!! lol

Wow, how exciting! I had no idea they were ready to take reservations. I am heading out on the First Med sailing so I think I will book then. I was on the inaugural sailing of the Magic and loved it.

I was also on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic and even though there were many, many glitches I would do it again...

May I ask what "official" list you are on??? As far as I know DCL has said they are definitely NOT taking any names for the maiden voyage of the new ships.

P.S. Nice pics!!!

I checked on board and they are not taking reservations yet but our travel agent (all seas travel)(they are great) is taking a list so when it does open, we will have a place! Gives me something to look forward to anyway!

I guess I have to take my pictures off now so it does'nt take up the whole page!

I agree - there were some glitches, but that was Disney's very first attempt at cruising. They learned quickly and have gotten it down to a science. So I seriously doubt it will be anything like before.

Ignaugural sailings are different from Maiden. Were you on the first one? I know MJ was. My experince was terrible. No AC, terrible staff, food and more. Honestly, the only reason I went on another was because they gave us 50% off the next one. I know they are more experienced now, but sometimes the staff isn't. Lots of the staff I talked to last month on the Wonder have no interest in going on the new ships.
I've also been on one CCL maiden voyage, the Valor, that went a bit better, but you can just tell they are trying to still get it together.
I also stayed at 3 Disney hotels during the first week of opening, terrible. lol We knew someone up in the chain of command at Disney, which is why we were able to try all these out first. But if we had to pay full price I would have been pretty upset. I just don't really see the advantage. I would give it at least 3 months, when the first staff is in the middle of their contracts and well trained. JMO
As far as I know, they are not booking yet.
