New Settlement Trading Post updates???

Hey all, was just trying to get some more info on the refurbished Settlement Trading Post. A great new Disser (the5coops) gave us an update in another thread:

We went to the Settlement tonight after getting off the boat from the Contemporary. I am not sure when they reopened because they were closed when we arrived on Sunday the 12th. The CM said they painted and put a new flag stone floor. It looked very nice. It also seemed more open than before - I was able to get our stroller through easily.

Anyone else going this weekend or there now that has any more info? I'm wondering if the inside layout is still the same, does it still seem to have the same amount of items for sale, does it still have that weird area in the back right hand corner (you know the one I'm talking about, you almost feel like you're inside a managers office but there are sandals on the wall...lol)??

I'm interested to see some pictures of the new floor, it sounds nice, so if we have any Tri-Circle-D trainees looking to get their CIA badge, let's get some pictures!!

I want to know what's new too.

I, for one, am surprised that it is already done, based on the condition that I saw it in on the weekend of 8/3 - 8/6. But, if they can build a whole house overnight on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, I guess that a Trading Post can get done real quick.

If no one posts a photo for us, I am going to have to make a road trip and get the scoop myself!

I am also surpised, we stopped by August 8 and looked through the window, and it just looked like an abandonned building. I would love to see some pictures of it.

Yea, judging from your pictures, I thought it would be at least another week or two before they were finished. It probably takes in a bunch more money than the Meadow trading post however, so I would think they put it on an expedited schedule.

I wonder if they'll still have the cash registers on both sides, I always felt bad for the CM on the left hand side, people ALWAYS went to the one on the right :/

I'm really interested in seeing the new stone floor...

Okay, we just got back from MK and made our regular stop for ice cream for the kids. Yes they do still have registers on both sides. I noticed mostly merchandise including a tall unit of shelves with TONS of mugs. It really caught my attention because of the number of mugs. I mentioned some other items in the other thread.

I will look at the "office" area tomorrow. I remember that being different too.

Sorry no pics. We do not have a digital camera. I have been lurking on the boards for a year or so and finally decided to learn how to post when I saw the other thread about asking who was at the Fort.

Hi all. We are at the fort now. I have no idea what the store used to look like, but it looks similar to the Meadows store. Same merchandise and such. They have wheel covers... hurray!!!

The trading Post opened wed. 8/15. The flooring looks like the floors in the Comfort Stations. It's more open and they put up new shelving against the walls. It just looks cleaner-no major changes. Didn't take pictures b/c I left the camera in the trailer-DUH!! it still carries less than Meadows but it's a catch all for those BBQ and HDDR-er's coming through. It's nice...yet back up and running.

Just got back to Texas from Disney. I wanted to update and let you know the "sandals/manager" spot is still there!
