New security at Castaway Cay

this is pure speculation:

I'm wondering if perhaps the new security station's primary purpose is not for passengers going back to the ship (though it is used for that, though as pp's have noted, to varying degrees), but rather for workers coming ONTO the Island at times when passengers aren't on the island ? Kind of like inbound security at the parks, only for those who will be working on the island that day (at least those coming from not-the-ship) ?

Probably not. Its location near the main ship docking birth wouldn't be right for that purpose since the off-islanders would be using the small dock facilities at Marges Barges.
